WHEN Yeri came to later on, the first thing she noticed was how dry and thick her mouth felt. Everytime she swallowed, Yeri winced a little.

Then, she became aware of her surroundings; the bright Ishikari light filtered through the open windows of the infirmary. It made Yeri squint as she tried to recollect her memory of what had happened.

That was until she noticed Taehyung sitting in a chair nearby, half asleep. When he realized she was awake, he immediately got up.

"You're awake! Are you okay?" A worried expression etched on his face. Taehyung had reached over and enclosed his larger hand over her own. Yeri blinked a few times, still confused.

"IㅡI think so. What happened?" Yeri trailed off at the end. Her voice sounded strained and distant. Taehyung flicked his gaze around the room, unsure of how to answer.

"Youㅡumㅡyou passed out," He ran a shaky hand through his dirty blonde locks, "we were outside, remember?"

The pieces finally clicked in Yeri's brain and she nodded slightly. Her eyes became glued to the ground in shame. She hated that Taehyung had seen her like thatㅡthat anyone had seen her so vulnerable.

"The nurse said you were malnourished and dehydrated. She had me bring a tray from the cafeteria." Taehyung said while carrying the tray over to Yeri, who's face was morphed in disgust.

"I'm not hungry." Yeri muttered. The smell was nauseating. Her head felt like it was spinning around in an endless whirlpool of torture. She hadn't known when this had startedㅡwhen food became an enemy. When even a slight scent sent Yeri to the bathroom throwing up. If she had managed to eat something, it was as if the food was swirling in her stomach, unsettled and angry. Yeri's only choice was to get it out and she didn't quite get why.

It didn't happen all the time. Sometimes, she was perfectly fine. Then, something would bring her down and Yeri didn't even want to think of anythingㅡlet alone food. She just wanted to sleep and cry and scream because, gosh, nothing was alright.

Taehyung undid the lid, handing the chopsticks to Yeri, who blindly took a hold of them. Taehyung guided Yeri's hand to the rice.

"If you don't eat now, it'll just happen again. It's not healthy. Just eat a little bit for me. Please." Yeri glanced up, eyes meeting the boy's in front of her. Words wouldn't form, her brain still processing slow.

"Okay." Yeri uttered out a whisper. She shakily picked up a cluster of rice, it finding a way to her mouth unsteadily. It seemed like it took her an hour to chew those few grains. In Yeri's mind, it was like she was eating cement. Her throat itching painfully as she swallowed each bite.
