Linda's POV
"Cameron. Hurry up," I yelled up the stairs of the apartment I shared with him.
"I'm coming. Just go get in the car," he yelled back at me.
I walked into the garage and got in Cameron's brand new Range Rover. It took him about five more minutes, but he finally got in the car. Besides the sound of Shawn on the radio, the drive was silent.
We were almost to the doctor for a six month check up on our child, when Cam finally said something. "I'm sorry. I should've gotten up earlier," he said and looked at me.
"It's fine," I said without looking at him.
When we got to the doctor, I signed in, and sat in the waiting room next to Cameron. After a little bit, a nurse called us back into an ultrasound room. I laid down on the chair and answered some standard questions that I answered every time I come.
After a few more minutes, the doctor came in, and started the ultrasound machine. She put the gel on my stomach and started to push the wand down on me. She was silent for what seemed like a long time.
"I'm sorry to inform you that your baby doesn't have a heart beat anymore," she said and left.
I started to cry, and looked up at Cameron. He was crying too.
"Linda, how did this happen," he asked me.
"I have something I need to tell you," I said timidly.
