-6 months after Magcon first started-
"So have you heard from Hayes recently?" My friend Abby asked me as we walked into Social Studies one morning.
"No. I haven't heard from him in like forever," I started. "The last time I heard from him was a few months ago. He's never home anymore and neither is Nash."
"What is they both became these hugely popular people and that's why their never home. They're always traveling."
"Haha let's look up their names on Google at recess." I said at recess because we aren't allowed to have our phones out in school except for lunch because our principle is stupid.
"Yaass." Abby said sitting down across the table from me as usual.
My friend, Aiden, sat behind me in this class and he was also in my next two classes.
"Hey Anna." Aiden said as I sat down.
"Hey." I replied, turning around to see Abby smirking at me from the other side of the table.
Aiden Opland has been my friend ever since the beginning of seventh grade. We became friends in art at the beginning on the year. I had none of my close friends in my class so I was forced to make some new ones who were unfortunately almost all boys. The teacher had us sitting at the same table and we would talk a lot. His friend, Derrick, sat at our table too. Now in my UA classes (Unified Arts which is art, wellness or health, computers, and technology which is engineering and stuff) I hang out with Aiden, Derrick, Alaska (who is a girl actually), Erick (who I am frienamies with), and some times Hunter. I will admit, I think I'm starting to like Aiden because he's really nice and pretty cute. He's really funny too and makes me laugh. Abby thinks he likes me back (which I would be completely fine with just so you know).
"He soooo likes you." Abby whispered across the table.
"No he doesn't. Ya lyin'." I said making a funny face.
"He so does." She said as the bell rang and our teacher, Ms. Karakia (Car-rock-e-a), walked into the classroom.
"Welcome to class on this wonderful Monday morning. How was everyone's weekend?" She asked us while starting to take attendance.
Abby raised her hand and got called on.
"This weekend Anna and I hung out at my house." Abby said.
"Oh really what did you do?" she asked, not really caring.
"We played truth or dare, we walked to the park, and we went in her backyard and did gymnastics and stuff." Abby answered.
"Well that sounds fun. Anyone else?" Ms. Karakia asked.
Two more people shared what they did. It was mostly just going to sports games and stuff. Then Aiden raised his hand.
"I went to the park with my friends." He said.
"What did you do at the park?" Ms. Karakia asked him, finishing up the attendance.
"We talked about stuff."
"What kinda if stuff?"
"..." He paused like he was nervous to tell everyone. "We talked about... our crushes and stuff."
Abby just smirked like a perverted teenage boy when they tell a girl a perverted joke.
"Awwww! You blushed!" Abby whispered to me across the table.
"What? I did not blush!" I said, maybe a little too defensively.
"You did," she said, pointing at my cheeks. "And he totally likes you," She whispered. "Did you see how he paused like he was nervous? Ya that was because his crush is in the room!" Abby finished, pointing at me.
