Redemption: A Lukesse Story [Discontinued]

Chapter 1

      The Admin was defeated, the bedrock over head vanished as if it was never there, people cheering everywhere you can hear. Jesse walked out of the portal to see Lukas, standing there waiting. Jesse ran down the stairs and hugged him, wrapping her arms around him like a bundle of vines. Lukas, who wasn't expecting the hug, hesitated before hugging her back.

Jesse noticed this, and quickly let go of him. Flashed sad eyes at him but instantly went back to joyful.
"I'm glad you came back in one piece." Lukas said happily. He then frowned and peered behind Jesse, his eyes widen to see a man, who looks kind of like the Admin, but with his skin changed. Lukas recoiled.
"Whoa! Is that the Admin?!" Lukas exclaimed, ready to unsheathe his sword.

"It's okay, it's okay! He's powerless now!" Jesse replied her arms out in front of her. Lukas slowly relaxed himself.
"So what are you going to do now, Romeo?" Jesse asked him.
"I think...I think I'm going to go find Xara underground, try to help her rebuild and such." Romeo replied.
"She might kill you, you know." Jesse mentioned, Romeo sighed.
"If she does, I'd accept it, she has every right to kill me." Romeo then walked past everyone and headed downstairs.

Once he was out of sight, Lukas took the opportunity to ask.
"Do you think saving him was the right choice..?" Jesse sighed.
"Honestly, I almost got us killed trying to decide to leave him or not...I shouldn't have hesitated so long. I would've left him, but something inside me made me take his arm and start running." Jesse explained looking down.

"Well, something made you save him for a reason, that I can accept." Lukas said.
"Also, when did Radar get here? I didn't see him with you before." Lukas questioned.
"And...why is he not wearing a shirt?"
Everyone began to laugh, even Radar.

"Ray saved us in there." Petra responded in between laughs.
"See, in the underground. There was this HUUUGE Enderman." Radar began, lifting his arms up to motion how big the enderman was.
"I kept looking in it's eyes and he grew to hate me, when we were heading to the Portal out of the underground, it followed us. It scared the people we were trying to save, backing them into a corner. So I begged Jesse to let me distract it while they went back up." Radar explained.

"Wow...I'm so proud of you Radar." Lukas said, his eyes widened in surprise.
Radar started silently squealing and hopping up and down.
"A-anyway lets head back down, I want to put a shirt on." Radar changed the subject as he started down the stairs, everyone following behind.

Jesse started dragging behind, thinking of how Lukas hesitated hugging her. Jesse sighed. "How do I fix this..?" She asked herself. Petra heard her sigh and slowed down to check on her.
"You okay, Jesse?" Petra asked.
"Y-yeah-" she thought of lying, but this is Petra, she'd notice right away, so Jesse shook her head.
"No, not really..." Jesse admitted.

"What's wrong? You can tell me." Petra comforted. Jesse gave her a sad smile.
"It's just, ever since Lukas learned I didn't do any of the terrible things Romeo did, I feel he doesn't trust me yet..." Jesse explained, Petra looked at her in confusion.
"What do you mean? He knows you didn't do those things."
"Well, he hesitated to hug me, both times." Jesse added.
"Oh...now I get it." Petra pondered.

"Perhaps....perhaps instead of adventuring with me, like you said you were going to, you stay here...in BeaconTown."
"But-" Jesse began, Petra held a hand up.
"No buts, if you go with me, you and Lukas' relationship might break. And I don't want either of you to be sad, after all you've been through."
Jesse looked at Petra, sadness on her face, while Petra was grinning away.

They reached the bottom of the tower, Petra and Jack started to run off.
"I gotta go pack! Be back in a bit!" Petra yelled over her shoulder, Jesse went up the tree fort nearby, and sat down. Suddenly hearing Ivor's voice.
"It is me, Ivor, I am slowly walking towards you." Ivor said cautiously.
"Ivor? Is that you? I can't see you." Jesse teased.
"Haha very funny." Ivor said sarcastically, making Jesse giggle.
