Prologue
Jason
February 14.
I can't believe it today's the day! It's Valentine's day and I can finally ask Ashley out.
I'm Jason Vanderson. 17 years old, Leo. Soccer Varsity School captain and heartbreaker. That was, before Ashley. She never seemed to be bothered by my demeanor and she liked me for who I am. I can finally ask her out.
You see, our school (Crawson High) has this tradition every year that the boys have to play cupid to ask girls to be their valentine. We have to make these arrows and we practically throw it to the person you want to ask out. I've worked really hard on my arrow, considering I was not artistic person, it was pretty decent and acceptable. Once you receive an arrow, the couple will automatically have to be together in the Valentine's dance that happens every night.
I enter the school corridor, happy as ever. Grinning like an idiot who got something great for Christmas. I spot Ashley and smile at her. She returns the smile almost immediately and she looks stunningly beautiful, her body looks great today with her fitted tank top and faded loose fitted jeans. In other words, she looks smokin' hot.

The bell rings, it's finally lunch time and I'm finally going to throw my arrow at Ashley. I see her in her locker, she's face back but I can tell it's her because it's the same clothes she was wearing a while ago. I throw my arrow, finally.
But in a flash of a second, a girl appears right in front of the arrow.
Seriously?!
Then proceeds to fall, flat in her face. Ashley turns her head to see the commotion and she sees my arrow on the other girl and gives me a what-the-hell look before turning away sad and leaving me alone.
I help the girl up, still pissed off as ever.
"I'm Alex Westfield," She gives me a light smile as she takes my hand.
"Yeah yeah, you probably know what this means right?," I say gesture my hands to the arrow on her shirt.
"Yep, I wasn't expecting to get one considering it's my first day here," She gives a bright smile.
"That's because it wasn't for you," I bluntly say.
"Oh, uhmm," She blushes.
"My girlfriend was right there," I point to the place behind where she fell, "Before you stumbled in, literally."
Well, she's kind of my girlfriend right? We've been sleeping around for a while now but nothing official. I was supposed to ask her out tonight!
"I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to," She stutters as she backs away.
Hey! Here's the prologue or like sneakpeak for the first chapter! Posting on June 15 :)
