After you arrived, you were guided inside the mansion and was presented with a huge room. The wooden double doors almost reached the high ceiling and once you stepped inside, in the middle of it all, you saw a king-sized bed on top of a creamy white carpet.

You didn't expect much when Mark asked you to move in to his house, but now thinking back, that must've been stupid of you. Of course, he has a room prepared for one of his lady friends.

You walked around the room, checking the drawers and dressers and found a framed picture on one of them. You took it out and saw it's a picture of a little girl and a little boy. The little girl looked a lot like you, and the boy... looked a lot like Mark.

"That's us."

You were surprised as you turned around and saw Mark inside your room.

He walked up to you and took the picture frame from your hand, smiling to himself while looking at it.

He had that warm smile again. The smile that made you forget who he was and why you were here in the first place.

"Do you remember?" he asked as he suddenly turned to look at you, catching you staring at him.

"Uhm, ", you started. Looking away, as you tried hard to say something but you just couldn't remember taking that picture with him.

He raised his head, pursing his lips and then said, "When we were young, you sometimes came here with your father.", he looked quite disappointed that you didn't remember him as he put back the picture frame inside the shelf. "They would leave us to play together while they play their own game.", he swallowed and grinned to himself, lost in his memories, "Back then, you were the only one who treated me like a normal kid."

He turned and looked towards your luggage that was lined up in your room, "Looks like you have a lot of unpacking to do."

"I'd better leave you, then.", he added as he turned back to face you.

At first, he hesitated, but then he took a few steps closer to you. Once he's close enough, he slowly reached his hands at the back of your head and pressed his lips on your forehead. He closed his eyes and breathed in, his voice in almost a whisper, "You don't know how worried I was back at the hospital. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something were to happen to you again."

Afterwards he stepped back, same warm smile on his face as he left the room, closing the door behind him.

You woke up the next day hearing screams and laughter in the living room. You walked out of your room to see who it was and saw Mark running around with two small girls, and noticed a beautiful woman sitting on one of the sofa as she watched them.

It didn't take a while for the woman to see you and she got up from her seat, walking towards you, smiling. She was radiant.

"Y/N!", she greeted.

Once she stepped close enough, she engulfed you in a warm hug, "It was nice seeing you again, dear."

She pulled away afterwards, and upon seeing your confused reaction, she grinned, "Oh, right. You may not remember me. I'm Tammy, Mark's older sister."

"Tammy." You noted and smiled back at her. "Nice to see you, too."

"I was just visiting with the kids. It's been awhile since they last saw their uncle." She tells you as you both sat down the sofa looking onto Mark and the children.

You watched Mark playing with the two girls and you couldn't help but smile to yourself. He looks like he was enjoying his time. And his smile and laughter was genuine, he almost looks like a normal person.
