UPDATE: STILES' AGE HAS BEEN CHANGED, FIRST SHIFT OCCURS AT 18 FOR ALL VILLAGERS
Hey everyone! I wanted to write a quick A/N to inform you of some things that you need to know before you start reading, so please read the following.
This IS a Sterek story, which means that there will be boy on boy action and scenes. If you do not support gays or do no like them, do not read this story.
Also, this is an alternate universe story. In this story all of the kids that live in Stiles's village, at the age of eighteen, will turn into an animal, which they will have for the rest of their life. This animal is "chosen" at random, which means they have no idea what their animal will be. It also does not matter what the child's parent's animal is, their animal will be different. Which means that there will not just be werewolves, were-coyotes, and were-jaguars, there will be were-everything, so to speak.
There is also a 1% chance that you will be born without an animal. If this happens, you will die shortly after your 16th birthday. Tragic, I know.
Please keep in mind, there is also a 3 year age difference between Stiles and Derek. For example, when Stiles is 18, Derek will be 21. Though Stiles is of consenting age, if this makes you uncomfortable, please do not read.
I have not chosen Stiles's animal yet, and would like you to help me choose! I do have some ideas, but I would love to hear yours!
One last thing. If you are hurt when you are changed as an animal, your human body will be hurt as well, however if you die as the animal, you will survive as a human. If you do survive as a human, you will never get another animal and will essentially go crazy, because the animal is a huge part of you. Like a best friend, mate, or soul, whatever you like. You will shown symptoms like extreme anger, depression, and madness for the rest of your life, so a lot of people have to be put to sleep if they are a danger to the village.
