Have you ever heard of a man who wore red, white, and blue? He also carried around a very famous shield? World War 2 was pretty big, but he made an impact.

I grew up hearing about him for as long as I can remember. How my grandfather practically made him, my mother would "awe" and my Uncle Tony would scoff and roll his eyes.

I lived a pretty nice life. Going to charity events, meeting important people, graduating high school with a 4.0, and starting college. My dad taught me to defend myself while my uncle taught me science and my mom lectured me on learning how to run a company that would be mine someday after my mom and uncle retired.

But everything changed.

When I say everything changed, I mean everything. Yes, I am smart, but they're things even I can't figure out. Being known as Howard Stark's granddaughter and everyone assumes you know how to save the world.

One minute, I am hanging out with my best friend and then the next minute I'm getting a call from a secret agent I've known almost all my life, asking if he could use my help.

Of course, I couldn't say no. My dad worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. for years before retiring. Plus, after a bunch of Iron Man issues, my Uncle started working with them as well.

Are you wondering if I'm upset that I said no? Well, some days I don't even know how to answer that question. But deep down, I know if I could go back in time, I would still say yes. Because if I hadn't, I would've never met him.

Plus, I was born a Stark. And for some unknown reason, we will always have a target on our backs.
