"I think you should come with us tonight. I mean, it is Saturday and you don't want to be trapped in your apartment doing nothing." My best friend, Bryce said.
"Considering I'm a Stark, I could live in my apartment forever and still bring in billions." I said and we both quickly started laughing.
After we both stopped, I began talking again.
"Alright, but I can't be out for too long." I told her. I'm not much of a person to go out and party. I enjoyed it sometimes, but not for long.
I slipped on some hollister jeans and a black shirt and walked out of the comfort of my apartment. Jeez, I oddly am starting to feel like Bilbo Baggins. I could already hear Bryce complaining at me as I looked down at my outfit, knowing as soon as she saw me, she isn't going to like it.
I pulled up and parked as close to the front as I could, making sure lots of people are around. Yeah, I am a bit paranoid, but I've been in some scary situations and I'm hardly even 21. I walked over to the entrance, showing the bouncer my ID and walking in. I really wish I could say I wasn't 21, just so I had an actual excuse on why I really couldn't come. Unfortunately, ever since I turned 21, my friends literally dragged me to every single club in LA.
"Aurora, what the hell are you wearing? For a Stark, you sure don't look like one." Bryce yelled at me as soon as she saw me.
"Something comfortable." I said, with a slight smug on my face.
She sighed and handed me a drink. I sipped on it, before giving her a gross face at the strong fruity taste of the drink. I walked over to the bar and grabbed a bottle of water, drinking it down. I wish I could say I was having fun, but I know I'd rather be cuddled up in my apartment, reading a good book. I am already ready to call it a night and go home.
But I couldn't. I'd never hear the end of it if I did.
I stayed another hour before I got the call.
I pulled out my iPhone, watching an unknown number flash across the screen for a few seconds. I was hesitant to answer, but quickly walked to the bathroom so I could actually hear.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Ah, yes is this Aurora Stark?" The man asked.
As soon as I heard him start talking, I knew who it was right away. Phil. One of my favorite people. He is a great friend of my dad's. And now he works with my Mom and Uncle Tony when there is a big problem. He has helped us on numerous occasions.
"Hello Phil, how are you?" I asked.
"I'm great, but we need your help. ASAP." He said, getting serious. Great, if my Uncle caused another Iron Man related problem, I'm going to give him an earful when I see him.
"No way I can say no, can I?" I asked.
"Not this time, Aurora. We're calling everyone for this one." Phil said.
"Okay, I'll be there in a few hours." I said, before hanging up. This is great, just great.
I quickly called my mom as I pulled my car out of the parking lot and drove a little bit too much like my Uncle to my apartment.
"Hey, sweetie! It's a little late. Are you okay?" She asked.
I looked over at my dashboard to see 2:27am, flashing.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm sorry for calling so late, but I need to borrow the jet. I'm sure if he hasn't called you, Phil will here soon." I said.
My mom sighed.
"It's your jet too. You don't need to ask. Where are you going?" She asked.
"New York."
"Your Uncle and Pepper are there. Meet up with them before getting yourself into any big situation." My mom said.
