I walked down the hallway of my hotel, tired as hell. As I walked, I let my thoughts consume me and stumbled on a boy. He was lying on the ground, passed out. I tried to get him up so that I could help him back to his room. I mean, come on, I felt bad for the kid. I shook his shoulder and spoke quietly, "Hey bud, let's get you back to your room".
"No I can't tell you where my room is" he slurred.
Damn it, he's drunk, I thought. Nonetheless, I replied. "Why can't you tell me where your room is?"
"Can't tell the fans where I'm staying" he mumbled. Then he giggled. It was absolutely adorable. I have no idea why and it was particularly strange in this situation but I couldn't help admiring it.
Fans? What fans? Oh, right there's that YouTube convention thing here this weekend. I wasn't really a fan of YouTubers. I mean, I watched some, but I wasn't a big enough fan to travel to Anaheim for them. I was just there on vacation.
"I'm not a fan."
"That's what they all say."
I could see I wasn't getting anywhere with this kid. By the way, how was he so drunk? He didn't even look old enough to drink. "Alright bud. Are you sharing a room with anyone?"
"My best friends," he answered.
I did a small victory dance because we were finally getting somewhere. "What are their names? I can go get them for you". He stayed still for a moment and I thought he had passed out again. "Hello?" I asked.
"Yeah, what?"
"Your friends. What are there names? Where can I find them?"
"Mmm room 245. Find Kian."
With that, I raced down the hallway to find this mysterious Kian. Hopefully, he was still awake.
