Daniel smiled. "So it worked, huh?" he said, leaning back casually against a container. His muscular arms were crossed behind his head. "You're a real fire elemental now. You should see yourself, you look pretty cool."  I brought my hands up into view and I felt my lips curl in a smirk as I looked at them. They were on fire. It was as if my hands did not exist, and in their place were dancing flames of bright orange, which lit up the entire room with an orange glow. The flames were beautiful. Daniel stood up from his position, and spread his legs. He blinked slowly, and his eyes glowed green. He lifted one foot and stamped the ground, cracking the ground with the impact. He tensed one arm and shot it upwards, lifting up pieces of the cracked ground up into the air.

"You know need to learn how to fight with your flame," said Daniel, his voice suddenly deeper and smoother. He stepped forwards with one foot and threw a hefty punch forwards, sending a piece of rock flying into a wall where it lodged itself, cracks appearing like spiderwebs around it. I looked back at Daniel in astonishment. "That was powerful," I said, hearing my voice for the first time in my empowered state. It was cool and composed, and had the slightest touch of gruffness to it. "So then, teach me, how do throw flames around the place?"

"Every attack is based on releasing energy into the surrounding. All you need to do is focus the energy in a certain direction for it to go somewhere  otherwise it will just spread out and do nothing. Basically all you have to do is punch. Try it." He positioned himself with one foot further out than the other like he did before and gestured to me to follow suit. He then threw a punch forwards and another rock wedged itself in the wall opposite. Small trails of smoke could be seen trailing into the air. He looked at me, gesturing for me to throw a punch, and I did. But the outcome was not as I expected. My hand basicaly exploded, releasing a huge cloud of dark smoke which covered my face, choking me. The small explosion threw me backwards and I fell back on the floor, struggling. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Daniel swoop his hand up with a grin on his face, before the rock underneath me shot up pushing me upwards. When I recovered, I got back into position, ignoring Daniel's laughs, ready to try again. "Channel energy through your punch!" he shouted. So I did, grunting a little in the process, but with plenty success; a fireball burst from between my fingers, slamming into the wall before disappearing. A grin lit up my face as Daniel looked at me with approval.

"Very nice," he said. You should be able to implement your fire abilities into your free fighting style. Well, that's enough training for now. We need to leave soon."

"Hold up. How do I power down?"

"You will your powers down. At the very least that's how I do it." He blinked and his eyes returned to their normal colour. I did the same and followed him out of the room and into the main hall, where everyone was doing the usual - fighting, gambling, drinking and chatting. The two of us made our way to a relatively quiet corner of the hall were Rico was waiting with Michaela.

"You finally arrive," noted Rico.

"How did it go?" asked Michaela.

"Don't worry, I trained him. Of course he'd become a real super being by now," said Daniel with a proud grin on his face. It was then that Sophia arrived. She made her way through the tables and people with ease, turning heads as she walked passed. She was a real sight to behold. She eventually reached us and sat herself down beside Michaela, whispering something to her and then giggling with her. The three of us guys looked at each other, dumbfounded.

"Yea guys, about the assignment," started Sophia. A few heads nearby turned to listen to us, but Sophia didn't mind.

"What's our objective?" Daniel said suddenly. His face was suddenly impassive and serious. His voice even dropped a pitch, as if that was even possible.
