She kept running into the boundless woods. She was already very tired but she wasn't stopping. she didn't want to be found.
Help. Please, someone help.
She pleaded in her thought, afraid she might be heard if she said it.
Mom. Dad. Where are you?
She flinched as she heard a noise. She immediately ran as fast as she could.
FLASHBACK
Mom smiled at me warmly. "Good morning, lesley. did you have a good night sleep? I hope you enjoy your class today."
"I will as always. So what's for breakfast?" I sat in one of our chairs in our dining table.
"Something that you will absolutely love."
"Les, your teacher called. Your grades have dropped. What's wrong with you now? You used to be top one of your class. Now, your only second. You better not distract yourself from your studies." My dad said, cutting his meat.
"I won't. I promise i will be top one again. Don't you worry." I grinned at him.
"Now, that's my girl."
"Ok. Stop witht the chit-chat now. Time to dig in." My mom placed a plate with hotdog wrapped with bacon on it and there was omelette too. Of course she didn't forget the fries.
"Jish ish awaysh ja besht." I said while munching the fries in my mouth and stuffing the hotdog with bacon on the same time.
"Les, stop that. Your being a pig." My mom chuckled and dad joined her in the laughter.
END OF FLASHBACK
Lesley remembered that last memory where she last saw her parents. Now she's all alone in the forest, running for her life. Tired as she is, she stopped at a big tree and sat at the dirty ground.
Why is this happening to me?
She curled herself up and began to feel cold.
My life was already perfect.
"Search her behind the trees." Lesley flinched, horrified at the sound of someone's voice.
No. God, please help me. Don't let them find me.
She stayed curled up, expecting all of this was just a lucid dream but it wasn't and no one was going to help her. Not even god but just herself. She took a deep breath, checked if there were anyone near her and ran straight ahead. She didn't look back and focused on what she was going stepping on so she won't trip and fall.
Just run straight, les. Don't look back. Just ran stra-
She suddenly felt pain in her ribs. She gave a quiet sob, still afraid they would hear her.
