Hide & Seek

Ch-1 Lights out

It was evening, when mom and dad were out, it was late night. Maria my best friend who was a few years elder than me came to my home for spending the night with me until my parents were out. My small brother Caleb was Watching tv. It was boring so i suggested them to play hide & seek with me! I love to play hide and seek! They said that i am good in hiding!! Me and maria Faught cause she said that I know the best places to hide cause it was my home! Caleb was the catcher, me and maria had to hide! She followed me! We decided to hide in the kitchen! We were hiding inside the cabinet. I was sure that caleb will not find us! After a while there was no sign of caleb! We ran in search of caleb! We heard him Crying! I was so worried, when we found Caleb in the drawing room. Maria felt boring and wanted to go to her house, I requested her to stay for a while but she said that she is having college to attend tomorrow!! I let her go! Only me and my brother were left alone! Caleb wanted to see a cartoon but my favorite horror show was coming!! We both started fighting! Mom and Dad came to the house and saw me and Caleb Fighting, we didnt notice them unitil mom shouted

"Bella! Stop fighting with caleb! Ur a grownup girl and after we die u have to take care of ur brother! He is your responsibility!"

I apologized her for being rude to caleb. I was almost 12:00am. Mom said me and caleb to go and sleep. I went to my room for sleeping, i wasn't sleepy, so i was just starring at the roof!! I heard a strange noice of an unknown man and my mom shouting badly! I was so scared! Caleb came running to me from his room!! I heard the man's footprints in the staircase approaching to my room! Me and caleb hid under the bed! The man entered my room and left after an hour me and caleb came out from our hoding place to see Whether the man has left or not!  There was no one in the house, so we went to the hall i said caleb to stay in the room until I call him. When i entered the living room, I saw blood spots all over the floor and saw my mom and dad on the floor dead!! I started crying very badly! I  only 14 years and my parents are dead!

After a while the police came! One of their leader named lisa took us outside the house!! I was still in shock!! Now my parents are dead!! Me and my brother are left alone! That night i didnt sleep well! Lisa said that i should take care of my brother because I am the only one who is left for him! Lisa asked me that whether I knew any relatives or family friends! I said that we dont have any relatives! And no family friends!! I remembered when I was small I used to play with a girl and then I remembered holmons family! Who had a small girl who was my age!

I was scared that whether they will accept us and adopt us or not!
