Ch-2 A new family

After my parents death I was completely shaken, I was worried about caleb. He is my responsibility now. I wish mom and dad were alive!! Officer lisa took us to the Holmons house, they agreed that we can stay with them. Mr. and Mrs. Holmon was waiting outside of their big mansion, for us to arrive. Their house was so far from the city it almost took 2 1/2 hours to reach. Caleb still doesn't know about our parents death, he is too small to understand, btw he is just 5yrs old. After a while we finally reached their mansion. I couldnt imagine that we were going to leave in such a big manion. They greeted us. Officer Lisa left after dropping us their, she had some work. I asked to Mr. Holmon about their daughter who was my age, when I said that they had a sad reaction, They said that she is dead. I was shocked to hear. After that we went inside. There was a big hall and big stairs leading upwards. Mrs. Holmon said that this mansion has 2 floors, the first floor has my, caleb and Mr. and Mrs. Holmons bedrooms. Then the second floor was prohibited for us to enter. She said that Mr. Holmon has never allowed anyone to go. She said that there is some of the important things and paintings of Mr. Holmon, and he didn't like anyone entering there. He likes painting. She said that she believes us and I promised her that I and caleb will never go to the 2nd floor. She showed me my bedroom which was so amazing, it had a lava lamp too, I really loved it. Then we went to caleb's room, which was also amazing, and it too had a lava lamp.
