My kids dance teacher

first encounter

"Can I help you?.. the company doesn't open for another hour.  Only employees and personal dancers are allowed inside at the moment,"  he says with a smirk raising his eyebrow.

"I'm so sorry my name is Park Shina,  I just started today.  I thought it would be better to show up early and get a feel for the place." I say slightly embarrassed.

"Sorry for sounding so rash,  our guest dancers are quite popular,  and during private sessions we sometimes have fan girls sneaking in.  But I do recall Mr. Jung saying we had a new worker today."  he nods to you with a smile.  

"Park...Park, Park??, sounds familiar," he mumbles under his breath, "do you by any chance have a daughter miss Park?" 

"I do, an 8-year-old name Naomi" 

"THAT'S IT, Park Naomi, she is my top student. Extremely talented.  she looks just like a minature version of you.  Do you dance at all miss Park?" 

"I can dance, but I'm more of a cinematographer, and please call me Shina" 

"Well miss Shina, you saw my dance, how would you make it into a video?"

"Your dance? You made that?" I say in complete shock.  

"Yes, I am a rookie dancer and singer.  I just recently signed up with BigHit entertainment"  the man smiles taking in Shina's cute expressions.  

"Music video?... let's see,  the outfit has to change.  Hmm.  maybe to a white button-up shirt, two top and bottom buttons have to be undone.  Black skinny jeans with rips at the knees,  so you can move.  Keep the hair orange,  but tease it some.  The song itself has a dark feel so we would be working with a color palette of Black,  White,  and Gray.   Of course you yourself will be in color for a pop of contrast. The setting should probably be an indoor courtyard feel,   all walls are brick and full of texture.  It should be shot in two connecting hallways... only if that's what you want of course,"  I say as I realized how bossy I sounded.  I honestly hate bossy people.

"Intriguing, very interesting. Well since you're new here, I'll show you around." 

I was given a short tour around the company.  The bottom floors are all dance studios and the next 3 floors are just offices.  The 5th floor is a cafe.  The 6th floor a lounge.  And the 7th floor is Mr. Jungs' office area.  The company fully cares about their employees,  unlike my previous job. I can already tell I'm going to like it here and I've made my first friend.  I learned the gentleman's name is Hoseok.  He teaches 5 classes a day,  one of them being my daughters class.  Hoseok says she is a hard worker and I plan to show him where she gets it from.  I am currently on the 7th floor waiting for Mr. Jung. The furniture is so classy,  I feel so out of place.   I shift in my chair,  my nerves slowly rising.   I really hope that I will make a good first impression.  When Mr. Jung walks in I sit up straight with a polite smile on my face.   

"Good evening miss Park, I am pleased to see that you made an effort to be here early.  I have been updated that you now know your way around,  and you have met my son Hoseok." 

"Your son?" I blurt out before I can stop myself, my face turns a bright red.

"Yes, Ms. Park,  he grew up in this company that fueled his love for dance.  However, he is too into dance to notice anybody.  I'm hoping today that will change,"  he says smiling brightly.

"excuse me sir but I don't understand" 

"my son just turned 24 miss park. he needs to focus on a family.  he is heir to my company.  and he himself will have to pass it down one day.  Your daughter Naomi she will have everything.   good education.  a future already set up.  she is the most talented student in her class. I will help her if you help me. Understood" 

"Sir by all means Naomi is my best interest.  that is why I need this job. I wouldnt want to risk that with creating a fake fling." 

"I acknowledge your choice miss park, this is where my proposal comes in.  One month.  for one month you will be Hoseok's personal assistant. errands. giving out water bottles.  simple cleaning and handling records of his students. If a flame is lit during the month then I will have what I want.  if not you will still work here but I will transfer you to a different department." 

" Okay... I'm in.  but I want you to know I will not play with anybody's heart so be ready to transfer me next month" 

"I like your ambition miss park. Hoseok's first class is in 30 minutes please make your way to his studio.  he will insist that he doesn't need help,  so assure him it is your job.  Have a good first-day miss Park." 

"I will and thank you, sir"
