The Phone Call

Tom's POV

I leaned back against the couch as I looked at the tv screen. Not that I was actually watching anything. Suddenly I heard giggling from behind me.

'Matt...' I thought. "Hey Tom!" I turned around sitting up. "What is it Matt?" He smiled. "Me and Edd were just going to the grocery store to get some things and we were just wondering if you wanted to come with us." He said while looking through his 'bag' most likey for the car keys.

I slowly fell back into the seat. "Nah. Im good staying here." I said grabbing for the remote.

"Are you sure? You look like you need to go outside anyways." Edd said opening the front door.

I started flipping through channels. "Im fine. You two have fun." I said with a little sarcasm.

Matt ran to the door grabbing Edd's wrist. "Okay! We'll see you soon!" They both rushed out the door and slammed the door behind them.

I chuckled as I rolled my 'eyes'. 'Love birds' I thought to myself.

*time skip*

I opened my 'eyes' realizing I had fell asleep. I stood up and stretched. I shut off the tv and went into my room.

I laid on my bed and grabbed my phone. As I was putting in my password, a phone number popped up on screen. It was unknown but decided to answer anyway.

"Hello?" I said a little sluggish, since I was still tired. There was no answer so I was going to hang up until a heard a voice on the other side. It sounded familiar..a little too familiar.

"H-hello..is this umm..Thomas?" I pulled the phone away covering my mouth in a bit of surprise. I sat up.

'Tord...?' I thought. I put the phone back up to my ear. "..yea.." I heard a sigh.

"Okay..you do remember me right?" He asked. "Um..Tord?" I heard a bit of shuffling on the other side.

"Yes! So Tom..look..Im sorry abo-" I held a hand up as I interrupted him. "No no, don't be..that was three years behind us..I don't even wanna talk about it."

I heard him gasp. "A-are you sure?" I nodded even though he couldn't see me. "Yea..but Tord..why are you calling me about this now?" I asked still confused at the moment.

"I- Well..I felt the need to apologize and I couldn't hold back anymore.." I was about to say 'bye' but he asked something..a bit surprising.

"Is it okay if I come back?"
