"Hey, I'm searching for a patient named Taehyung Kim."
Hoseok was leaning on the desk situated in the middle of the hall of the private clinic."Ah, who are you? Friend or family?"
The middle aged woman asked typing frantically on the computer keyboard, her eyes glued on the screen not giving him a single glance."I'm his cousin."
Hoseok lied knowing that the receptionist wouldn't give him the room number if he said that he was just a friend. Given the fact that they had similar features, white people tend to believe that they are related."Hmmm." She paused searching, scanning some papers then looked up at him with her calculating green eyes for a moment. "He is in the room 84, just take this elevator." She said pointing at the two elevator doors situated at the end of the right wing of the large hall. "Take it to the third floor and search for the room you'll find it."
Said the woman returning to what she was doing earlier, typing quickly.Hoseok always wondered how people could type that quick without watching the keyboard and not doing any mistake, he found it impressive. He thanked the receptionist then headed towards the elevators.
After coming here at least one time every two or three months , Hoseok could say that he knew his way around very well. He could even boast saying that he could walk around the place blindfolded but that would be stretching it a little bit.
The young man stopped in front of a silver door, his hand hovering midair, he flexed his hand ready to grasp the handle but stopped abruptly when he heard a noise. At first Hoseok could only hear faint noises but when he concentrated he could hear people talking behind the closed door, actually, they were whisper-shouting.
Hoseok could recognize Taehyung's distinct voice but he couldn't recognize the other one. This was a first, all the times Hoseok visited no one ever came to see Taehyung in the clinic. Hoseok always wondered why no one beside him visited the younger man but now he thought that maybe he never crossed paths with them even though he visited Taehyung so often whenever he was admitted.
Hoseok was in the act to go to the waiting room not far from Taehyung's room and wait there for the other person to leave but the door was wrenched open by a young man. Hoseok froze when he made eye contact with the brunet man, his eyes were red and tears were sliding on his flushed cheeks. The man muttered a strangled apology to Hoseok then dashed out towards the elevators.
Hoseok didn't know what to think about the encounter, he felt sorry for the crying man., Taehyung possessed a talent for making people feel like shit by just saying few words or looking at them under his long lashes with a disappointing frown etched on his pretty face. Hoseok sighed then entered the room finding Taehyung standing by the only window in the hospital room.
"I'm not even going to ask what happened."
Hoseok stated sighing for the ninth time, then taking a seat on the empty bed his eyes glued to the wall in front of him."He is... no was my boyfriend."
Said Taehyung nonchalantly then turned landing his gaze on Hoseok who was sitting on his temporary bed."So you broke the poor guy's heart, he looked miserable."
Hoseok laid down on the mattress his eyes drooping, he was tired and a little nap will do him good even if it was already three in the morning but this wasn't the right place to sleep."Well I already told him since the beginning that I was in love with someone else but he insisted that he can help me forget that person."
Taehyung's tone suggested how he thought about what the guy said. Ridiculous. The younger man headed towards a seat not far from the bed and sat on it. "What is it with the mark on your cheek?" He asked clearly irritated, his eyes glued to Hoseok's swollen cheek.
