Okay, here's something I wrote a little while ago so let me know if there any mistakes. Thx<3

I gladly took my boxes labeled all different labels and marched into the tiny blue cottage. A surfboard rested against the screened in porch which looked like it would cave in at any second. I grinned to myself at the thought of escaping my backstabbing, lying, cheating father along with his no good wife. Oh and almost forgot to mention their son, Martin, the devil's spawn. I could finally escape the weight of my mother's death, the fighting of my father and his evil wife. And I, about time, can have my own bathroom.I tripped over a rock and yelped like a little girl as I toppled over. I was too deep in thought to notice where I was going, I guess. I was also too happy to give a damn so I picked up the box that I was carrying and carried on. No one was at their houses since it was the last day of school. I was the only one who skipped the last day of senior year to flee to another town. A better town.
My flip flops echoed on the hardwood floors though my furniture was everywhere. I looked up at the low ceiling that I bet if I were a few inches taller, my head would bang off of it. It was cozy which was the whole point.
I couldn't wait to unbox everything, it was like opening presents for me, though I already know what I got since I did the packing myself. I guess this reminds me of presents because I never really had any actual presents to unwrap when I was younger. I was given nothing as a kid so I use this as my sad excuse to why I don't have much.
I continued bringing in more boxes as happy teens and young adults filled the little shops in front of my cottage. Their grins turned to smiles within seconds after seeing someone they know. Little kids clung to their siblings and parents as the sun went down so they didn't get lost. All of my boxes were out of my tiny car and neatly placed where the labels indicated. My feet were sandy due to the wind pushing sand from the beach everywhere it managed.
The sky was dark purple with nice orange in the horizon. I may be new to town but I wasn't going to let that stop me from walking on the beach to see how beautiful the sky was on the water.
I jumped away from the window that I was creepily stalking people at and lunged out the door. The town was small so I didn't expect many people to be around... but I was wrong. Everywhere on every corner there were people, laughing about the fact no more homework would ruin their nights of video games or dates. I was happy too, I just didn't want to be the weird new neighbor that smiles excessively for no reason once so ever. No, not doing that.
The shop right outside my house was antique shop where I saw mermaids made from glass with shells lining the tail. The hair has pieces of sea glass glued together which made me want to buy it even more. I urged myself to walk around to the beach path so I did. My flip flops flew sand toward my upper thigh which made me feel uncomfortable so I untucked my long shirt and let it drape over my nike shorts.
I passed very nice looking people, who I stared at until they were completely out of my sight. Their girlfriends gave me weird looks but I just smiled and waved at them which was the polite thing to do considering I just checked out their man. I continued with a pep in my step as happiness overcame me. The path to the beach was bumpy and surrounded by tall grass which I was for sure going to get ticks from. I'll have to check myself later I guess so I don't get any type of disease.
Hopefully I'll catch all of them if I do, for some reason, get any ticks on my. Did you know if you accidentally leave a part of it in yourself I guess it could still harm you? Wait no, that's not right. Ticks can't do-
"AH!" I screeched. Oh, now I'm lying on the ground on top of a very attractive male of the human species. Wow, look at his eyes...
"Uh, can I help you?" He joked as he stood up holding me close to his chest.
I was slowly placed back on my feet with a grin on my face. "Sure, why not?" I answered.
His eyebrows arched with just made him even more cute than he was. I studied him, he was tall, strong jawline, surfboard under his arm which could've killed me if I fell any other way. Thank god that didn't happen am I right?
"Helloooo?" He tapped my shoulder.
"Yeah?" I asked in a harsh way which was an accident. "Oof, I did not mean for that to sound rude, sorry."
He laughed a tiny little laugh that I fell in love with. Talk about love at first laugh, huh? "I said I'm David, and you are?"
"Oh, uh I'm Violet but people call me Vee. Nice to meet you...?" I held out my hand.
"David. I said that already." He took my hand in caution.
I awkwardly giggled and cleared my throat which turned into a coughing fit. "Excuse me about that. And I'm really bad at remembering names."
David did a once over on me and waved a tiny wave. "Alright, gotta go Violet. See you around?"
"Yes, indeed." I nodded in agreement.
A few very good looking people in the distance were standing by a tiny fire with cans in their hand. I could tell they were having the time of their lives. A few surfboards rested in the sand next to them, one on the ground holding a boy and girl while they rested on each others shoulders.
David was heading off into their direction which I was madly jealous of. I should continue my tiny walk but I should also make some friends, right? There were about 6 or 7 people over there, looking like models from a magazine my mother used to leave around the house. I looked at my legs and imagined a mirror in front of me, I couldn't introduce myself to anyone like this. Oh no, I met a god like this who goes by David.
I scrambled myself together and made my walk quick, making it back home nice and safe with much sand stuck to my legs. This was one way to start off the summer to start my life over. This place isn't just a cabin, it's my new home. This is where my memories will be made that I'll be able to enjoy.
I made my way to my room and avoided the boxes that rested in my way. I plopped down on my bed with a heavy sigh. I couldn't wait for tomorrow, or the next day for that matter. I couldn't wait for everything to be normal with me, no more lying father that pretty much doesn't want me anymore. Or his wife that verbally abuses everyone she has ever spoken to.
School's out, so there's another plus.
Just rest your eyes, Violet. Come on, just sleep and tomorrow will come-
Cue snoring.
