"TIRA!" I hear Jace screaming at me. "Yeah, yeah! I'm coming!" I answer, irritated.
"You're always late, what the hell is wrong with you!? You're such a shame" He insults me.
"Jesus Christ, I'm only 2 minutes later, and it's not like we've got to be on time for the train or something, we're just walking to school" I sigh.
I sshouldn't have said that, because before I know it I feel Jace's hand hitting my face.
Nice, that will probably be the 20th bruise on my face, maybe even a blue eye. And god, it hurts! I can feel the tears coming up, but I try to push them back. Jace doesn't like 'cry babies' as he calls me everytime I fail not to cry.
The rest of the walk is walked in silence, untill we arrive at Dan's house.
"Jaceee! Hi man!" Dan says as he spots us. Jace greets him back and Dan walks over to me. "Hi Tira" he whispers while touching my butt.
Jace's friends are very... touchy. And, unfortunately, not in a good way. Jace never tells them to stop or whatever. To be honest, I think they pay him to... You know, touch me...
If you were wondering: Jace is my boyfriend... And no, I don't like him.
It's just... I'm scared of Jace and his friends. They frighten me to death, I simply can not break up with Jace. No one can break up with Jace.
"Where's Ramon?" Jace asks.
"He ran out of drugs, he's skipping school to get some more" Dan sighs while shaking his head.
"Hmm... He should've joined me yesterday, I got some nice prices!" Jace laughs.
I sigh, they're always stoned or wasted. It's rediculous! I mean, they're, like, 19 years old, shouldn't they know better?
After Jace has slapped me another time and Dan has touched me about 6 or 7 times again, we finally arrive at school.
As soon as we walk in, I run to my locker, far away from Jace's and Dan's. I really don't want to see them again today. I'm lucky Ramon isn't at school, his locker is close to mine.
When I grabbed all my books for the day, I decide to go to my only friend at this school, Rachel.
Don't get me wrong! I'm not a freak without any friends because no one likes me or something, I was actually quite popular once! But that was until Jace came into my life... People warned me for him, they told me he was nothing but trouble, but I tought he was actually pretty interesting. I was probably thinking that I could 'change the bad guy'. Big mistake. At first he really was a really nice boyfriend, but with the time, he started to get meaner and meaner. No one wanted to hang out with me anymore, they were all scared of Jace, except from one girl: Rachel. She wasn't scared of Jace at all. She was his sister...
When I finally found Rachel (she was a very difficult person to find, she always ran from left to right, went up and down, etc etc.) the bell rang and we had to go to our lessons.
We always have the first three classes together on friday, so we walked together.
"Did we had any homework for math?" Rachel asks. She always asks and never makes any of her homework. That's just how she is, but she never gets in trouble for it, though. Seriously every teacher likes her: she's smart, has amazingly high marks and she's got those big, innocent, blue eyes and pretty face where you simply can't stay mad at.
"Uhm... I don't know, I didn't had the time to do it anyway..." I reply.
"Oh? What'd you do?" she asks. I can literally féél my face turning red. "Uhm... I..." I stutter.
"You were with Dan, weren't you?"
"I... Yes" I tell her. Why I even bother even lie about it? She has probably already heard it from Jace anyway.
She sighs "You should really stop hanging out with him! It almost looks like you two are together!"
"Yeah, I know, sorry" If only she knew what Dan did to me...
---------------------------
The day has passed fast, before I know it, the bell rings and everywhere I look are students running out of their classrooms, on their way home. When I walk through the corridor, I see Jace standing against the wall: one foot on the floor, one foot against the wall and a cigaret pointing out of his mouth. That's not a good sign! I swear, everytime he's standing like that, he makes me do something for him.
Well... mostly for Dan and Ramon.
Fortunately, Jace isn't looking in my direction. Maybe, if I'm fast, I can go home without him noticing me.
I grab my bag and start running to my locker. When I run through the doors, I accidently run into someone and we both fall on the ground.
Great...
I stand up and apolagize myself "I'm so sorry! I..." I start but I cut my sentence off. I can't simple say 'Yeah, sorry, my boyfriend was standing in front of my classroom and I ran away because otherwise he would bring me to one of his friends who pay him so they can do... things.. with me.'
Nope, not really the smartest thing I could do...
"It's okay" the boy (I assume it's a boy because he's got this deep, raspy voice) tells me while I help him to get up. "Not really" I say while looking at him.
He's got beautiful, green eyes, intense dark brown hair, freckles, and a smile (with dimples) to die for.
Oh, don't forget about his jaw..
I think my mouth just dropped down.
He looks back, smiles and says:
"Hi. I'm Dustin"
