Alex and Alexis were sleeping in their bunk beds when a loud sound woke them up. "Gah!", they both yelled in surprise. Alex fell out of the top bunk, but luckily he landed on something soft (even though it still kinda hurt), and Alexis hit her head on the top of her bottom bunk. "Oww...", both the twins groaned. Just then they saw their Dad, his brown hair waving in front of his brown eyes. "Rise and shine, kids.", he said. Then he walked out of their room.

The twins looked at the clock to see it was almost 6:30. They both rushed out of their room to get to the bathroom first. Alexis got there first and went in to get ready.

At about 7 a.m. the both of them weren't wearing their p.j.'s anymore. Alexis wore a red shirt with a pink heart in the middle, jeans, and sneakers. Alex wore a yellow long-sleeved shirt that had blue sleeves, and he was also wearing jeans and sneakers.

They both went downstairs when suddenly, the room was filled with confetti. "Happy Birthday!", they heard. The twins looked through the confetti and saw their Dad and Mom, whose black hair shined while her blue eyes sparkled. "Happy 11th Birthday, you two.", their Mom said.

Alexis and Alex smiled. Then, they started playing games. Then, it was time for cake. The cake had candles on it that made the 11 number. They got in their seats, took a big breath...and blew out their candles.

Both of their parents clapped and the twins smiled once agin. They went outside to their backyard, and saw a table full of presents. The twins opened their presents until there was nothing left. "Thank you for the presents.", they twins said.

Their parents smiled and said their welcomes to their children. Before anyone could say anything else, they all heard something and looked up. There, in the sky, was something that looked like water ripples, and had thousands of colors that all looked like would be in a rainbow.

Then, something came out. It moved so fast, all they could see was a bird. Then, it started to slow down, and the twins were amazed by what they saw. It was...a bird...but it was unlike anything they'd ever seen before.

It was a rose red, and it had actual gold and silver on it's wings, and the gold and silver looked like it was part of it. Oh, and it's feathers flared like a fire.

The bird had a satchel on it and had something in its beak. The thing in it's beak was...a letter. Alex took the letter that was offered to him. Alex and Alexis looked at it and saw it was addressed to them. Alexis opened the letter and the twins started to read the neatly-written letter.

'Dear Alex and Alexis Weaver,

We are happy to inform you that you have been accepted/invited to Ultra Aura Prep. We ask you to please join us this year with all the others. Your partners will be looking forward to see you, so, again, please join us and have a great time. Please consider and discuss.

Sincerely, Principal Roqua'

Once the twins were done reading, their eyes were the size of dinner plates. "What?", both the twins said, almost a whisper. The bird squawked before flying off. The twins looked at their parents with questioning looks. Their parents sighed before saying, "We should explain inside..."

A little while later...

"So let me get this straight.", both the twins said. "Ultra Aura is in another world, where there are creatures called Ultramals," Alex said. "And you guys also went to Ultra Aura when you were our age," Alexis said. "And you didn't tell us because you didn't want to be a burden?", both the twins asked.

Their parents nodded.

"The thing is...we were—are—really popular, and some people said we didn't deserve it, or stuff like that.", their Dad said. "I'm guessing you don't want to go.", their Mom sighed. "I'll just—"

"Are you kidding?! Of course we want to go.", both the twins said. "Wait...really?", their Dad asked. Alexis and Alex both nodded their heads. All of them smiled before sharing a hug.

1 month later...

"Are you sure you have everything?"

"Yes, we're sure, Mom."

It had been one month since the twins got the letter, and they had been excited. Then, a portal showed up and out came something very similar to a plane. "Good luck.", their Dad said. Alex and Alexis nodded and gave their parents one last hug before getting on the plane with the other kids there. The plane took off and headed into the portal. They'd just left a lot of things they thought to be true behind...but their story had just begun...
