Chapter 31 •My sunshine•

Today's the day.Your finally 15,and your damn boyfriend isn't even here to celebrate it with you.Great.

You rub the crust out of your eyes as you slowly get out of your bed.Just as you open your door you see a flash of light in your face as Millie and Sadie both scream "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/N!"

You blink your eyes rapidly,trying to get them back in focus. "Oh yeah,that ones definitely a keeper." Millie says as she shows you the picture. "Oh my god I look disgusting!" You screech as look at the photo in horror.Sadie and Millie laugh at your reaction as they gesture you towards the kitchen.

"We have a surprise for you Y/N!" Millie says with a squeal as she practically forces you into a seat. "Calm down Millie it's not your birthday." Sadie says with a laugh. "Yes I know I just want to see her reaction to the super duper present I got her!" Millie says as she eagerly hands you the present.

"Oh you guys,you didn't have to get me anything!" You say as you put your hands over your heart. "Oh don't be silly,of course we had to!" Sadie says as she hands you the present from her. "Open mine first!" Millie says with a wide smile,practically falling out of her chair. "Ok Millie I'll open yours first!" You say with a laugh as you rip open the rapping paper.

It's a giant bulletin board filled with a bunch of pictures of you and all your friends. "Oh my god Millie this is so amazing thank you!I really do love it.So many amazing memories!" You say as you start to tear up. "Yay I knew you would like it!" Millie says as she gives you a hug.

"Ok now open mine!" Sadie says as she points to her box. "Wow Sadie it's so big!" You say with a laugh as you rip open the box.It was a gorgeous guitar with your name engraved at the bottom. "Wow Sadie this is beautiful!Thank you so much!" You say in awe. "I'm so glad you like it!A little bird told me you have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar so now you finally can!Oh and theres more!Read the card in the box!"

You look down in the box to see a white envelope in the corner.You tear it open to see a paper that says you have five, one hour guitar lessons with Shawn Mendez. "WHAT SHAWN MENDEZ!!HOW DID YOU EVEN GET THESE!" You says as you jump out of your chair. "Lets just say I'm really good friends with Shawn's agent." Sadie says with a wink. "Oh my god thank you Sadie!" You say as you give her a giant hug.

"Alrighty enough of this mushy stuff let's go celebrate your 15th birthday!" Millie says as she pulls at your arm.

"Wait!Theres another present for you Y/N.It says it's from Finn..." Sadie says as she gives you the present.

Finn,seriously he sends me a present.He knows all I want is to see him again,I don't want a damn present.Oh well I guess it's the thought that counts,who knows maybe he will pop out of the box...actually no that's not possible the box is to small...ugh

You sigh as you slowly tear open the box,to find another tiny box inside.But not just any box,a music box.You see a knob on the side of the box so you turn it.Once you have turned the knob completely,you open the box to see a beautiful ballerina dancing to Finn's voice.

The ballerina slowly stops turning as the song dies down.You feel tears flooding down your face as you keep staring at the ballerina.

That song,my mother used to sing me that every night before bed.Her voice would always put me to sleep.Her voice was like a beautiful angel.I miss her so much.That damn song,I haven't heard it in years...

Without hesitation,You quickly run into your room,locking the door behind you.You slowly fall to the floor,back against the door.You turn the knob again and listen to the song,over and over again.You would never get tired of it.Every time it played it made you cry but you didn't care,they were tears of joy.
