I nearly woke up today -unintentionally-
It was my heart's fault -stopped beating-
frightened by a reoccurring nightmare -beastly-
the sight of my future mapped out -looming-
with my family drawing the world -oppressive-
disappointment clouding their eyes -heart is a rain-barrel-
I am merely a dreaming child -unwilling-
adults live on a different world -far far away-
I intentionally broke my rocket -Mother's love?-
but the planets crash coursed -inevitable-
my family scooped me up -warm embrace-
their route is so lonely -help?-
the mountain path, I will only slip down -impossible-
let me sleep, let me dream -mental lockdown-
I demand to fly away -because I'm afraid of my own slow progress-
oh wait, that rocket is broken -stranded-
