Chapter One

I was late for school once again. My father was suppose to take me but he had to make his way to work early.

"Mom is dad even coming?" I asked with frustration, "he had to get to work on time dear, just take your bike for now. I'll pick you up at 3:25, us family has to do a discussion about something." She replied putting away a plate she had.

"I can take u if you want, June" my sister walks out of the washroom with her hair all fuzzed up.

"Yeah sure." I say taking a bite out of my French Toast. "Well hurry, my hair is done and I need to look prefect for Steve." She brushed up her hair, I rolled my eyes. "Ugh" I groaned.

My mom chuckled "go on, I'll be home if one of you two need something."she kissed my forehead "yes ma" I smiled

The car ride was horrible, all she did was put on hair spray and smoked a cigarette. I think I still have some smoke in my lungs.

"Alright June, if you need anything at all.. just walk over to the high school and I'll be there okay?" Kelsey asked "But that'll take like 30 minutes.." I trailed off. "Not my problem hun." She said,

"mom said she's gonna pick me up so.."I said as I opened the car door, "thank god" I heard a mumble come from her"what?" I asked

"I said have a wonderful day." She faked a smile. "Yeah....you too." I said cold enough for her to realize that I'm not stupid. She drove off quicker than a bee

I sat down in my seat which was next to Clarke Devereaux aka mouth, because... well he doesn't shut up.

and one of my best friends Justine Felcher, or actually my only best friend.

"Ms Claire.. Do you mind going down the hall and to the left from us and ask for Ms Danis? She needs this." Our Spanish teacher asked as she handed me a booklet, I got up off my chair and walked to the lady

"Sì Por Supuesto Ms Jensen" I smiled "gracias" she replied.

I started walking to English class but then I was stopped by a tall big hairy dude,

"Hall pass?" He asked "aw shit" I mumbled "Excuse me?" The man looked at me with anger,"I just needed to hand this to Ms Danis, my uhh my teacher sent me." I said, luckily for me I had evidence, the booklet.

"Hm.. okay missy." He walked off, I let out a breath of relief.

I knocked on the door a few times.

Until a lady showed up at the door, "ahh, yes thank you so much June, you are my life saver" Ms Danis giggles, I gave her a polite smile "No problem Ms Danis"

I began walking back to my class, I never realized how big the school was until now. Jesus

I looked back and thought I saw my dad with another lady, "what the fu-"

I bumped into a kid. And I made him drop something... yup that's me for you.

"Oh my, I am sorry. I was looking around, I didn't even se-" I looked up and saw a beautiful boy with blue eyes and when he smiled his braces showed, I saw an inhaler on the floor, I immediately picked it up and handed it to him."umm I think this belongs to you" I said shyly "Oh, right t-thanks" he smiled

"My name is June" I said with a smile "yeah I kinda know that because we're in the same class.. uh science class, I sit three seats away from you." He said, "oh... I guess I just never really talk to anyone in there." I chuckled "yeah me neither." The boy pulled pushed down on the inhaler, I smiled.

"I'm mikey." He said as we both stood up. "Well.. see ya around Mikey"I waved "yea.. see you" mikey waved back
