“Bye” I said to my best friends Seersha, Desiree and Sutton and gave them each a hug. I walked pulled my suitcase and walked into the portal and gave my last goodbyes to my friends. The portal was an invention that my uncle made, it was something that could get you wherever you wanted to go you just had to step in it and you would get buzzed away.

I was the first person to try it and I was excited and scared, I mean if something went wrong I would probably die I guess I just have to take a risk. I was going to Hawaii to visit my cousin Carla who 21 years and was exactly 4 years older than me, our birthdays were on the same day which was on the 2nd of July.

My uncle pressed the green button and the portal started to spin and I started to get dizzy, I took deep breathes trying to calm myself but it did’t work and next all I saw was just black.

      I opened my eyes and found myself staring at people in hula skirts and coconut bras singing “aloha, aaaloha, aloha” and doing a hula dance. They all stopped dancing and looked at me

“Do you know were The Coconut Tree Hotel is?” I asked.

“Follow the- Aaaah she has the curse” One of the hula dancers screamed and everybody ran away from me.

WOW… that was strange the only thing I asked was, were The Coconut Tree Hotel was? I looked to my left and a sign which caught my eyes I looked at it and saw that it was destroyed I just could make out that Oahu was 153km away from here. I looked around to see if there was any thing I could borrow like a bike or even a skateboard but with my luck I saw nothing. Which meant I was going to have to walk 15km by myself to place I have never been to and I’m not sure if the sign is even right, cause it looked so wrecked and it was loose so I bet with just one touch it would fall to the ground.

In the end I decided to trust the sign I walked in the direction it pointed to. This was going to be a long day I thought to myself.

Couple of hours went by as I was walking,

I got thirsty and took my water bottle from my bag but it was empty.

I was just about to drop dead on the floor when I saw a house on the left side of the path. I dragged my bags there and as I got closer I started to get a creepy feeling that someone was watching me.

You’re imaging things I thought to myself I mean who would possibly spy on me. I have never been here I don’t know anybody from this side of Hawaii and I bet nobody even lives here, cause it pretty much looks like a wrecked house and there’s no shops or houses for miles.

I got the courage and knocked on the door, nobody answered I was about to knock again when I heard a voice from behind me.

I froze “What are doing here?” said the voice again, I slowly turned around panicking. In front of was a guy who was really cute and VERY attractive, he looked about a year or two older than me, he had a tanned skin, dark ocean blue eyes and dark ebony brown hair he was about 6ft 2’ tall, he wore blue denim jeans that where a bit ripped by the knees and he wore a blue t-shirt that had Abercrombie & Fitch written on it and he had Nike royal blue dunk high sneakers on.
