Now

(Shiro is what I am calling ichigo's hollow)

Ichigo was lay in the house of byakuya not long after waking up after battling Aizen. He looked around confused when he noticed that he didn't recognise his surroundings. The first thing he did was sit up and immediately noticed how weak he felt, deciding that it would be best that he rest he lay back down and decided to enter his inner world.

As his eyes closed before him appeared his familiar flooded city scape, he watched slowly as the water seemed to slowly recede as if  there was a drain somewhere slowly swallowing the water. A laugh was heard behind him. Being slightly jumpy, Ichigo turned around a little too quickly and fell over and landed on his backside. The laughter intensified and an amused voice said "wow king I never expected you to be so.... Jumpy... no that's not the right word... I think amusing is a better word"

Ichigo just looked at the figure in front of him with a blank unamused face and said "ha, ha so funny anyway shiro where's old man zangetsu he's got to be around here somewhere?" the hollow quickly shut up and said "he's gone, at least for a little while" Ichigo looked at the hollow with anger and said "why? What. Did. You. DO?!?!" the hollowed raised his hands in surrender and said "calm down king I did nothing to the old man" the strawberry blond looked at the hollow with a look that said 'I-don't-believe-anything-that-you-are-saying-at-the-moment' the hollow sighed and said "I'm being honest king I didn't do anything it was you".

Ichigo turned to look at the water in the city scape and said "what do you mean it was me?" shiro looked at Ichigo and said "when you used the final getsuga tensho you used up all of your soul reaper powers so at the moment you only have me as company and are but a mere mortal. At least for the time being that is" shiro went and sat down next to Ichigo and looked out at the mind scape, meanwhile, Ichigo shook his head in disbelief when he just realised that he was having a civil conversation with his inner hollow.

"Why only for the time being, why not permanently?" Ichigo asked as he looked at the hollow, the hollow smirked slightly and said "you're a mystery king, when I said you were a mere mortal I was kidding slightly it appears that you somehow will be able to regain your soul reaper powers but it will take a few years, but what makes you more interesting as that not only do you have me as your hollow, had soul reaper powers from your father, but it also appears that you also had the powers of a Quincy form your mother"
