I was clawing at his hand and he tighten his grip on my throat and them he started walking me to the door

No jayla

I seen a cup and grab it hiting him in the head and I fell to the floor and started running to grab a knife from the kitchen

I grab it and turn to face him and he was holding his head

Please jayla stay upstairs sleep

"Ow princess you will pay"he says pulling out a gun and i start to cry "now put the knife down and come with me to my car"he says and I grip the knife and set it down and look away as he walk to me but then I see his body fall to the floor and I look up to see the guy from the club that I dance with

"Are you OK"he ask but I was to scared to answer

Did he just snap this dude neck holy crap I have a dead man in my new home

I started to panic my breathing was out of control and them his arms wrap around me and his hand runs threw my hair

"Hey your OK your fine now"he says and I calm down but then I push him back and run up the stairs to bush jayla door open to see her small body sleeping so I walk over to her and pull her to me and hold her as I silently cry and I feel a hand on my shoulder and I jump

"Hey its just me"he says and I turn back to jayla and I lay her back down and walk out her room to the living room

"What's going on"I ask him and he sighs and sits in front of me on the coffee table

"I'm in a gang my name is Stephen and there's another gang that hates me and will do anything to mess my life up so when I was dancing with you at the club I guess they thought getting to you would mess my life up"he says

I was so lost and confused

"I have a daughter I don't want her in this mess"I hold my face and he pulls me into a hug

"I'm sorry I didn't mean for this to happen with you but your gonna have to come with me so I can watch after y'all"he says and I sit back

"Wouldn't that put us in more danger"i ask

"Well yes but as long as y'all are with me I can protect y'all and make sure nothing happens then after the gang is gone and y'all are safe you can leave but you can't live here no more its not safe"he says and i sighs "you can wake her in the morning for school and bring y'all stuff to my place" he says and I nod

I walk back up to jayla room and lay in her bed and sleep with her because it feels more safer

And Stephen is down stairs on the couch

Stephen POV

I was coming to talk to her and tell her every thing but when I got here I found this dude with a gun pointed at her

I snap his neck and after calming her down she ran up stairs to find her daughter sleep

I feel so bad for pulling them into this shit

After she went to bed I called jay to get the body and burn it and I rested on her couch

I wanted to be with her to make her feel safe but I knew that was crossing the line

I close my eyes and tried going to sleep but every little nose from outside had me shot up and grab my gun so I was up most of the night
