"Why do you have all these dogs." "Ummmm," Kate said. "They needed a home." Ok, it all started a week ago at school. Kate loves dogs and dogs love her. She had one small dog already, but she wanted more. Her friend, max said "why do animals like you so much. I mean even the rats." But little did she know that she had a gift. "If I know I would tell you, but I don't know. It is not my fault," Kate said. Her whole family was kind of weird. Her dad, James, always seem to know what every one was think and her mom, Lily, always seem to know what the weather was going to be like. Also her older sister, Cora, can run really fast. But nobody seems to Know. All kind of animals came to kate, but all expect the dogs seem to just come and go. She started hearing voices about two days ago. Everyone, including herself thought that she was going crazy. One day she found a letter written by her great great great grandmother.
It read:
When you, my dear Kate are reading this you will probably be thinking you are crazy. Your'e not, but your'e special. I can't tell you much more, but remember when you unlock your power people are...........
"People are what," Kate yelled. Her mom can running in. "What is wrong," her mom exclaimed. "This letter I found," Kate said. "Some body is looking for us, but who. Now her mom thought she was crazy. "But look, read it." So her mom did, but this time it read.
"Dear, Liliana. Your family is in danger. All of you have a gift. Leave before you are........
"what is going on," her mom said. Little did they know the letter was magic. So they showed it to the others. And it revealed more of the letter. Finally they have the full letter. They know now what there gifts are. Time to time Kate forgets that her friends don't know about her power. She is some times scared of the power she has. She want to tell for friends, but no one can know or they may be in danger too. In fact her whole family had a hard time. Kate older sister, Cora, said, "I had to quit the track team, because I can not control it." Of course Cora blamed Kate, and Kate got mad. Then they started to fight. Sisters right!! People started to think their whole family was crazy. After a while they moved. But they were still in danger.
The family has become so powerful that the people could find them. They were in danger where ever they went. Kate and Cora became very scared of the power they have. One day, the people of the letter showed up at there house.
"Who are you and what are you doing here," Lily said.
Cora jumping in said, "yeah."
"No matter that you and your family is come with us," they said calmly.
Cora ask, " yeah what if we say no."
The people replied, "then I guess we will have to take, by force."
"Run, go run," Lily yelled. "I will hold them off."
Boom, zap some of the man got it by lightning. The leader yelled, "get them."
Her mom caught up with them. Kate and her family ran and ran. They didn't know what to do.
Kate cried, "I am scared."
"Me too," Cora said. They came to a stop for a break.
"look what I found a sled," Kate yelled. "Maybe Cora came pull the sled, because she can use her super speed."
James' said, "great idea are you in Cora."
"I guess," Cora mound.
Cora pulled the sled about five miles, before finding a shed to sleep in.
