Remus had a favorite pair of gloves. They were black, made of a warm fabric material. they had red stripes all around the rest and left half of his fingers bare. The Hogwarts crest was patched on the back of each hand. Remus loved them. Sirius have lent them to him on a very cold day in Hogsmeade. Remus had never returned them. Remus wore them often, even during the summer, and no matter how many times he had washed them, they smelled like Sirius. He had them in his pockets when he died.

Sirius had a favorite sweater. It was hand-knitted, with red and yellow stripes all the way up the arms and red everywhere else. It was frayed and old, but Sirius loved it. Remus let him borrow it on a freezing day when the Marauders were on Christmas break and had the whole Gryffindor Tower to themselves. Sirius had never returned it. He wore it whenever he could, because it always smelled like Remus. He was wearing it under his robes when he fell backwards through the veil.

Remus had a favorite person. His name was Sirius. He was handsome, with his long jet-black locks and aristocratic face and deep brown eyes. He was witty and brave and smart and funny and the best person Remus knew. He made Remus feel like the sun had been built for the two of them alone. The first person I saw when he died was Sirius, wearing that frayed old red and yellow sweater, a pair of black jeans, and his black leather jacket. They smiled, and grasped hands, together again at last.

Sirius had a favorite person. His name is Remus. he was perfect, in spite of his scars, with his caramel-colored hair and beautiful green eyes. He was the smartest, sweetest, wittiest person serious new. He taught serious how to love. When Sirius died, he watched over his Remus until the time came for them to be reunited again. When Remus died, Sirius greeted him. He was wearing those fingerless black gloves of his, one of his favorite cardigans from their Hogwarts years, and one of his old, worn pairs of jeans. They smiled, and grasped hands, together again at last.
