In the beginning there was only darkness, and quiet. It was a little cold too if you really paid attention. Just, nothing.
"..."
But then,
"... Open your eyes ..."
A bright light was shining, it was warm, very warm and soon it enveloped the dark space. "... Open your eyes" Things were blurry for a while, but soon there was more light, but blue lights hanging from above from a strange looking lamp. There were blue constellations as well on it.
"Wake up, Link." A voice said. Blue liquid drained, and there was a boy, about 17 laying there.
"Link." He thought. "That must be my name." Link looked around, surveying the surrounding room. There were more constellations all over the walls, orange this time. Pillars holding the room up with a strange pattern as well, it was hard for him to make out but the lines weaved into each other. Making various unique and organic shapes, but these patterns looked anything but organic. They were on the floor as well. It was hard to make out what- or who could make them. "Where...where am I? More importantly...who am I?" He was asking himself in his mind. Link had so many questions, but instead of sitting around he thought it would be better to find them. So he got up and walked out of the pod. Immediately he noticed a pedestal, and slowly walked towards it. Feeling cautious in such an unfamiliar room. It glowed, parts of it were twisting and turning until a slate rose up on the pedestal, glowing as well.
"That is a Sheikah Slate. Take it. It will help guide you after your long slumber." It had a glowing handle as well as other littler orange lights that lit up, with an eye in the center that glowed blue at the pupil. As Link walked up and took it, something felt...familiar about this Sheikah Slate. But he couldnt pinpoint what. As he took it the screen flashed blue and the chamber door opened. Link then walked to the next room. More of the same pillars with the mysterious pattern all over. There were two chests as well as some old broken barrels and crates. He kicked one chest open, without thinking.
"Ow!!" The first chest opened, but he was holding on to his foot in pain. Link realized immediately that he shouldn't kick the next chest. He found an old shirt, the sleeves were torn up a little, the seems were bursting and there was lots of wear overall but it was better than nothing. Link put it on and moved onto the next chest. "I'll be smarter this time." He thought, Link got on his knees and started picking the lock. It soon opened, and he got some well-worn trousers with some brown boots along with it. There was a lot of wear on both the pants and boots but together it was an outfit, and would keep him somewhat warm...hopefully. With the whole thing on Link realized something. "The sleeves on this shirt and the legs on these trousers are kind of short on him. Oh well." He reflected. Marching on he noticed another pedestal, it had the same eye as the slate and blue and orange lights.
"Put the Sheikah Slate up on the pedestal, it will show you the way." That mysterious voice instructed. Link did so and another door opened but this time a bright light was shining from the outside of the whole chamber. It was warm again.
"Link...you are the light- our light- that must shine upon Hyrule once again. Now go."
The voice faded. He didnt know what the voice meant by him being the light but it filled him with vigor. Dashing up the stairs and climbing over the ledge blocking his path he soon walked outside. Birds were chirping, the sky was blue, and as Link walked to the edge of the cliff he saw the most beautiful view one could ever see. Vast forests, hills, a massive volcano, and a castle looming in the distance were just a few of these marvelous sights.
He then turned to the side, seeing a ruined temple and an old man walking towards this small cavern by a pond. Link felt this old man was the first key to retrieving his old memories.
