Special spot
They were both walking down the side walk and joking with each other, trying not to get in anyone's way. Both were a little intoxicated but knew what they were doing. Timothée still trying to figure out where Deja was taking him. "So any other movies you were in Movie Star?" She asked. "Yes, one that also recently came out called Call Me By Your Name." "Haven't heard of it, is it worth watching?" she questioned. "I mean I would say so, but how about you watch it and tell me. And hey can you now tell me where the heck you're taking me?" "Hold your horses cowboy, you'll see when we get there Tim-o." " Ahh already giving me nicknames I see." He teased. "Ah shut up and keep walking." She smiled as she finished her sentence.
Knowing that they were almost there, she told Timothée to close his eyes. "What? No, I'm not closing my eyes." He laughed. "Ah come on, you said you trusted me. And it's more fun this way. Pleaseee." She gave him the puppy dog face. "Alright alright, you better not trip me." "No worries, I got you."
She was guiding him to her special spot, and right when they were in front of it she told him to open his eyes. So Timothée did as he was told, and looked at what was in front of him. "A playground?" He asked. Deja smiled "Yes, come here." She sat him at the swings and they begin swinging in sync.
"So this is it, my Special Spot." She said. "What's so special about it?" "Well when I was younger my parents use to bring me to New York for vacation, and they would always bring me to this playground. It's one of the reasons I actually moved out here." She spoke with happiness. He smiled as he watched her light up talking about it. "That's sweet, it's actually a really cute story. Do you come here often then?" He said. "Oh yes, always. Whenever I feel down, I just come here and think of the beautiful memories."
The two got lost in time just talking to one another, looking up at the lights and at each other. Everything about this moment was beautiful. But as all good things come to an end, they both exchanged numbers and goodbyes.
Timothée stopped and watched her leave, and thought there's something about that girl.
