CAFETERIA-MORNING

JEAN, DEAN, AND BEAN are high schoolers who are the best of friends. They knew each other since they were children. JEAN was always secretly in love with DEAN but she did not want to ruin the friendship. BEAN on the other hand was dealing with stage four cancer.

The three friends are in the cafeteria and are sitting by themselves in a table.

DEAN

What are you guys going to do for christmas break?

JEAN

I don't know plus it's Monday and that's not till two weeks you dummy.

BEAN

Well I'm going to be binge watching all my favorite shows season after season with good ol junk food.

DEAN

(chuckling)

Oh as if you don't do that already.

BEAN

Zip it Dean.

DEAN

Well I, will be having a party since my folks will be out. You guys should come get out there. Especially you, Jean. Maybe you'll find you prince charming with all those fairy tales you read.

JEAN

Hey! You know I only have those books for the kids I take care of. Beside guys are such jerks, they don't know the difference between a monkey and a chimp. No offense to you.

DEAN

None taken.

Bell rings

BEAN

(getting up from the table to leave)

Well I'm going to go. My class is messing with chemicals.

DEAN

Have fun with that.

The bell rings BEAN leaves them to go to class. JEAN and DEAN head off to their class.

CLASSROOM-DAY

The classroom is full and JEAN and BEAN sit next to each other.

DEAN

(looking through his backpack)

Dude where did my notebook go? I need it for the test.

JEAN

(smirking)

Well if you were more organized you wouldn't have to worry 'bout it.

DEAN

Come on. Um Jean darling would you be so very kind to your best friend if yo-

JEAN
(handing DEAN her notebook)

Here you dum dum. Next time don't "darling" me.

DEAN

(chukling)

Thanks bestie. You are the smartest here you don't need it.

JEAN

True but I do like being able to be completely sure of my answers.

The class is taking their test on psychology. When students were done with the test they were allowed to leave the class. The last student to leave was DEAN. Afterwards he saw JEAN waiting for him outside.

HALLWAY-DAY

JEAN

So how did that test go for you?

DEAN

You know I suck at it. I don't know you are able to understand all this.

JEAN

Yeah I'm the brains and you the dummy.

Both start laughing. BEAN enters.

BEAN

And I'm the outcast.

DEAN

No you aren't.

BEAN

Oh yeah? When was the last time we hanged out doing things that I want huh? We always do what you two want not what I want.

DEAN

So not tru-

JEAN

Actually Dean, Bean is right.

DEAN

Fine then how bout we so something you want to do today.

BEAN

Well I don't think you two are down to do it.

JEAN

Just spill it and we will.

BEAN

Would you guys ditch 6th period and go watch a movie?

DEAN

I'm dow-wait which movie?

JEAN

My mom would kill me.

DEAN

Oh come on. Let loose for more than 2 seconds. You are always the too goody one. Have some fun.

JEAN

Well I don-erm-fine. My mom has been a pain lately and she's been coming home late.

DEAN

Then it's settled,but which movie Bean?

BEAN

How does "The Fault in Our Stars" sound?

DEAN

Isn't that about two people who have cancer and fall in love.

BEAN

Sorta, you guys should see it and you'll understand and comprehend it.

JEAN

Alright let's go.

JEAN,BEAN, and DEAN leave the school jumping the fence to the movies.

THEATRE- DAY

As the movie was about to start BEAN sat between them.

BEAN

I love you guys so much. Just confess to each other already.

DEAN

Wha-

DEAN was cut off as the movie began.

The movie continued and played until the end. DEAN and JEAN say that BEAN fell asleep.

DEAN

Wake up you dummy. The movie is over.

BEAN did not wake up.
