FioraI lie awake staring at the streak of light that appeared on my ceiling from my cracked room door. It was night, the moon shown brightly through my curtain-less window. My mothers and father long story were downstairs arguing in Spanish while my grandmother and grandfather were arguing in English. Such a strange family I have, I don't even know if they remembered I'm here.
I rolled over out of my bed headed down the hallway that lead to the stairs. "¿Por qué estás tan molesto?" What are you people arguing about? I shouted from the top of the stairs, "¡Siempre estás discutiendo!" You're always arguing!
"Hija, baja aquí, por favor," Daughter, come down here, please. One of my mothers whom I call Mama frowned. She's fluent in Spanish, but knows absolutely no English. However, my grandparents speak both English and Spanish fluently, like me.
I slowly made my way downstairs and stood between my mothers. So, here's the quick story behind them... My moms are lesbians and they felt that I should have a father figure in my life, so that's why all four of us live in one house... And my grandparents live in the guess house because... Well, that's just better for everyone.
"What's going on, Madre?" I asked my other mother, Hana. She speaks fluent English and is almost completely fluent in Spanish.
"Your father thinks it's a good idea to let his new chica come here to meet you, we don't think it's a good idea..." She looked around at my grandparents and other mom.
"Por supuesto que no. ¿Le dijiste a tu novia que vives con tu ex esposa lesbiana, su esposa actual y tu hija?" Of course it wouldn't. Did you tell your girlfriend that you live with your lesbian ex-wife, her current wife, and your daughter? I speak in Spanish so Mama can understand me too.
"Well... No," My father looked down at his feet.
"Exactamente. ¡Problema resuelto! ¡Me voy a la cama, buenas noches!" Exactly. Problem solved! I'm going to bed, goodnight! I stormed back up the stairs and turned around, "Just to clarify, that means she's not coming over."
I headed back down the hall to my room, where I collapsed on my bed. I'm usually the problem solver around in this house... It's like I'm the single mom and my own parents are my children. I don't even know what my grandparents are... Maybe just the neighbors.
I picked my phone up, noticing I had three messages from Giaro.
Hey.. Fiora? - GW

Sounds good... Where will we meet though? - FS
Hm... The parking lot? Where the reserved parking places are? - GW
Alright! That's what we'll do then. But after we change, right? - FS
We don't want to meet in our grad gowns, do we? - FS
Haha! No! - GW
Good, that would be awkward. :) - FS
