Chapter 8

Wrong!

When we showed up to the theater I figured we'd see at least Eric, Angela, Mike, Lauren, and Tyler. Nope. Not a single one of them had shown up expect for Mike and Tyler. Which I knew wasn't going to end well. Both had a massive crush on my sister. And I knew without even looking over at my sister that she was uncomfortable with how the situation could play out. I groaned looking up at Jake who was just smiling away at me. I quickly looked away with my cheeks turning red. That was close. As more people started to fill the main lobby I could see both Mike and Tyler glancing over at Jake. They were drifntly checking him out to see of he would get in their way of flirting with Bella. I just rolled my eyes at their efforts and started to make my way to our movie.

     "Is this a friend of yours, Bella?" Mike asked zooming passed both me and Jake to get the seat next to my sister. Tyler followed right after him to the next avaaiblee seat next to her. I groaned softly to myself and sat behind as did Jake.

    "Yeah. Mike, Tyler this is Jake". I answered for my sister. "We've known Jake since we were kids. He's a great guy". Mike nervously smiled. As did Tyler. You could clearly see that Jake being here was not what they had planned, and I was glad.

My sister had just gotten left behind by her last boyfriend. Not even six months ago. I doubted that she was ready to jump right into another one right now. She needed time to heal. Something they both didn't seem to care about.

     "Yeah..." Mike turned away from us as the theater grew dark and the screen finally had come on.

           

Zombie murder movies were defiantly not my thing. And they were defiantly not Mike's thing. About half way through the movie, that both Mike and Tyler weren't really paying attendance to cause they were too busy trying to get Bella to hold hands with them, Mike bolted up from his seat with his entire mouth covered. Not even a minute later Tyler followed right after. Oh boy this wasn't going to end well. Bella turned around in her seat to look at us. I shrugged my shoulders while Jake just seemed to ignore the whole situation that had unfolded.

      "Maybe we should check on them" Bella mouthed to me. I rolled my eyes with annoyance but got up from my seat and followed her out into the quiet lobby.

     "Why did you guys just leave?" Jake questioned us as I sat down on a flight of steps. Bella crossed her arms over her chest and patiently looked down the hall towards the male restrooms.

     "Didn't you see Mike and Tyler leave the theater?"

Jake shook his head. "Should I have?"

      "Bella thinks that maybe they couldn't handle the movie". I hinted at, Jake snickered a me and stood up from the spot beside me.

     "What a bunch of wimps". Jake said in a jokily harsh tone. I glanced over at Bella who seemed just as taken a back as me with Jake's comment. They Jake we were knew was never this harsh.

A few minutes later both Mike and Tyler emerged from the bathroom. Both of them in one piece and both white in color.

    "you two don't look very good". I nodded in agreement with my sister. That movie had clearly gotten to both. Particularly Mike who looked like he was about to faint at any moment.

     "Yeah maybe you should see a doctor". Jake ordered stepping closer to Mike. I thought for sure that Mike was going to trip over his feet trying to back away from Jake. What was with him tonight anyway. This was not how I rembered Jake.

       "Jake- "

Tyler stepped in between them and tried to steady himself. "Easy dude. Lay off". Jake glared at them and pushed himself away from the group. I glanced over at Bella who was still a bit puzzled by how Jake was acting towards us. I sighed and ran out after Jake. I placed a hand on his shoulder, but he instantly brushed it off.

     "What is with you Jake?"

Jake turned to face me, and I could see that clearly something was wrong. "I don't know". He then started to walk towards me and could feel his body heat from miles away. Which was not normal for any human being and made me question even more What was going on with him?

     "I think I need to go home..."
