"It's because you didn't get to see him in his human form! Thats why Layla went all crazy in love", Camilla spoke into my ear, but it went out the other.
I told Cam about my encounter with the strange wolf that Layla blacked out with. When I finally came back conscious, I was back in my human form laying in the same spot I passed out at. I searched everywhere for that wolf, but never found him.
I didn't understand why Layla acted that way because I was not feeling any attraction. Cam thinks it's because we were both in our wolf form and wasn't able to experience the human attraction.
I rolled my eyes as I turn to Cam, "Even if I did, I still don't think there is any way I would have felt that mate bond. I'm destined to be alone forever, you know that". Okay I over exaggerated that last part, but it really did feel that way. Almost everyone around me has found there mate, BUT me.
"You and I both know that is not true, A!", Cam looked at me with a sincere expression on her face. Her caramel hair layed perfectly against her cheeks as she spoke to me, "He's out there I promise. And it's not that bimbo Nixon either". I chuckled at her comment because she couldn't be any more right.
I almost forgot about the incident with Alpha Hunt and his son. They have been hanging around our pack for the past two months since that day. So its been two months since I've seen that wolf.
"Don't remind me..", I muttered, "I've been avoiding him since he got here, and I hope to keep it up".
"Well, I don't think that is going to work..", Cam looked over my shoulder as she twirled her hair around her finger. I huffed out before I felt a hand touch my shoulder.
"Aria.. It's been a minute", Nixon cooed his words into my ear as I turned around to give him a fake smile.
"Nixon.. nice to see you again", Not, I thought.
Camilla squeezed my hand to let me know she was off to see her mate that was across the squad. I gave her pleading eyes and a death glare to let her know she better not dare leave me alone with this overly gorgeous specimen.
She mouthed 'I'm sorry' before she let go and pranced off.
There was a moment of silence before we both tried to break the awkwardness.
"I'm sorry you go ahead..", he dropped his beautiful eyes to the ground before bringing them back up to my face again.
"Um.. what are you doing here?", I asked him. I was actually on campus of the college we go to during the weeks. Its an open college that welcomes all kinds of species, not just wolves.
"I'm going to be joining you this semester", he answered cheerfully. Oh fuck.
"Um, why?", I stuttered.
"My dad thinks it will be good for me, and also gives us some time together", he smiled his gorgeous smile at me. Damn it. How can I avoid this gorgeous creature and go to classes at the same time, if he's following me everywhere?
"Oh.. great.. Whats your first class?", I asked nonchalantly.
"History with you..", he winked. I felt weak in my knees, and tingling that hit my spine. I had to keep telling myself don't get involved with this fellow, but obviously that wasn't working.
"Great! Well I'm heading there now so..", I started to walk off with him at my side. Then he did something that sent a burning sensation to my cheeks. He put his hand into mine. And I didn't even try to pull away. Damn you body. I could hear Layla in the back of my mind telling me to let go, but I simply ignored her and continued to embrace the long day ahead of me.
