The Tale Of Alyssa

"In the days when time was not counted there was a heroin that saved mankind many a time. She saved us from total annihilation; her story is to be told so that we may never forget the truth of our past and to break the trends that make us fail time and time again. The tale of Alyssa is long and a tragic tale of love, deception, betrayal, revenge and perseverance. Her story does not end happily but much can be learned from it, she deals with all walks of life as she grows from a young child to a woman. She taught us so much and gave of herself to save all of humanity and only after it was too late did we thank her. She told us of the stupidity and failings of man and we refused to listen and now when we need her the most she will not come and here is the reason why is you care to listen. I am simply a teller of the histories, listen well young prince and you will be great when you are king." I said to him, his eyes sparkled as they always did, he would have died if he knew it was my story that I was telling, he could be great and make up for all the horror and crimes his forbearers committed.

He was an immortal like myself, only he had yet to discover it. I used magic to conceal my true appearance and age, this worked for me because I had the wisdom of ages past, people thought I was in my late thousands and I looked it in the body of a twenty some year old. I was beautiful naturally but I completely altered my appearance, I hadn't made myself as beautiful as I was, but I wasn't ugly. Naturally I was a raven haired blue eyes pale white skinned woman of six feet. Now I was blonde, jade green eyes, and I was five and a half feet tall, I made myself tanner but not so totally dark skinned, however, I kept my fairy build.

"Fine then Mist, go on, tell the story before I get as old as you with a foot in the grave." He had a smart mouth attitude just like his father only he could own up to his faults.

"I am trying to make a point Alec," only in private was I allowed to speak to him in such a informal manner, he wanted it, he wanted to be treated normally and besides he trusted and respected me and I in turn had the same respects for him. "As I was saying, to tell her story in all fullness would take days so today we start. But please Alec, do stop me if you have any questions, you have no idea how important it is that you know her story and learn from it."

He could tell that I was distressed and so he assured me he would and that he was excited to hear the story.

So I started, I allowed all of my feelings, memories flow back to me and come out as words to him. "I will tell it from her perspective and her memories because she gave them to me so someone might learn and remember the truth and not the lies most people believe. She was born in the early spring almost two hundred millennia ago, and she was born in a time of much civil unrest and constant war."

It was an early morning and my sixteenth birthday; I went to the wood as I often did way before dawn, today would be my last day of freedom from men. Now I was old enough to be married off and how I dreaded it, being the kings daughter and only child I was going to be forced into an arranged match to gain my father an ally, I would never have the luxury of marrying for love and being treated like everybody else. I wasn't now, from the age of six until my fifteenth birthday I was trained as both Mord Sith and Ranger. My fairy mother left me with my father as soon as I was born and I knew almost nothing about her, my father refused to speak of her ever and it was punishable by death to even say her name in full because we shared the same first name. It was maybe two hours before dawn, I went deep into the wood where I often explored as a child, there by the great waterfall and lagoon was a giant willow tree and I often went there to think and be alone. It was peaceful there, calm as well as my favorite place to be if I didn't want to be found.
