"Alright guys. We've got to move it. You hit the stage in 5."Arnold offered his apologies to the few handfuls of people who didn't get to meet the band at the free meet and greet. He ushered the four boys into the performance building and lead them backstage.
"You guys know what to do, I don't need to tell you. But whatever it is, do it with all your passion. Make those tickets worth the money." Arnold spent the last 2 minutes before performing to encourage the boys to use all their might for this.
They were all in the zone, and ready. Except Marco.
He was off daydreaming, thinking of the girl. There was just 45 seconds left before Septic Silo hit the stage.
"Marco!" Danny called out to him. "What's going on man? You seem out of it."
He snapped out of his daze and looked up at Danny. "N-nah, nah, I'm good. Let's go." He patted Danny on the back and they both headed up to the stage. As they approached their instruments, their most known song began to play. The crowd roared as Tyler, Eli, and Danny lined up in their spots. Tyler and Eli fiddled with their guitar straps and Danny did juggling-type tricks with his drum sticks.
Then, just before his line, Marco made his entrance and lined himself in front of the Mic. The audience went bezerk for him. The boys began to play as Marco sang to their song, Rockstar's Heart.
🎵 I don't remember much,
But i'd say it's enough to call you mine.
I sank so far below,
But you swam down for me just in time. The night,
Howls at me.
And these lights,
Surround me.
But I'm strong,
If you're around me..She tamed the Rockstar, She tamed the Rockstar,
She gave me everything, she healed my broken heart.
She tamed the Rockstar, She tamed the Rockstar,
🎵 Didn't know it was possible, love at the start. So many girls screamed for the band, but especially for Marco as he continued to belt their song. He was into it, emitting the passion that Arnold told them to use. Marco ripped the mic off the stand as he put all of his energy into the chorus. Girls held out their hands for Marco to touch, and he did. They were ecstatic.
He dragged his hand across a row of teenaged girl's trembling hands. Some of them held on as he went down the line. Until there she was. Mariana. Jumping, and dancing among the other girls. When their eyes met, she smiled at him, and grabbed his hand.
He knew he couldn't let it distract him from the show, or else Arnold would be on his case. So he quickly went back to the stand, re-attached his mic, and continued on. But throughout the concert it became very evident that he was watching someone in the left of the crowd.
The band was finally halfway done with the last song. Danny was about to do a drum solo as Marco finished his verse.
As soon as Marco stopped singing, Arnold came in on his ear piece.
"Marco. What is it. Is she in the crowd?"
He was sort of startled. Arnold rarely came in on the boy's earpieces during a concert. It was distracting. Marco drew the his mic far away from his mouth before speaking back and turning slightly away from the crowd.
"What?" He said back.
"You're watching somebody. Who is it? Are you in danger?"
"No, I'm fine.." He mumbled back.
Danny's drum solo was down to it's final few notes.
"Okay..well stop watching whatever you're watching." Arnold said back. A tiny beep clicked in Marco's ear. He brought the mic back to his mouth and finished the final verse of the last song. The crowd was going crazy, cheering for him. At the final line, the musicians finished up and laid their instruments on the ground and walked of the stage. It was like their signature ending move.
