Estimated Colleagues,

Thank you for your inquiries regarding coverage of the employee health plan for vaccination from the zombie virus. The newly formed Zombie Task Force Division of Employee Benefits Department takes your health very seriously.

Given the recent outbreak of Viral Pathogen 3498 (commonly known of 'zombie-ism'), we received a lot of claims for reimbursement ranging from common bites, more serious injuries and the experimental antiviral Zombie Gone.

To those of you who have suffered from a zombie attack and have not yet succumbed to the virus, first and foremost we'd like to offer our sincerest congratulations. If you opted into the employee high health plan before January 1, 2018, your attacks are covered at a rate of 75%. You will still be required for the remaining 25% plus the $500 deductible.

If you subscribed to the basic or low plans, you are not covered under your plan and sadly will be responsible for all out of pocket expenses.

As for the antiviral Zombie Gone, given its experimental nature, it has not yet been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and thus is not reimbursable, even if you elected the employee high plan.

I understand the frustration this might cause, but our discussions with the health care provider and upper management imply there without this approval, they would be held liable for any side effects and thus are not willing to take this risk.

In fact, we will conduct random tests for the antiviral (in line with the company's drug testing) and if any traces are found, you will forfeit your health coverage.

Some of you may argue that a final decision from the FDA will be slow coming, given the recent Washington Times article of the head of the FDA's apparent zombie infection. Representatives of the FDA have assured us that this no more than a baseless rumor and would refer you to more reputable news sources such as the Washington Post and New York Times.

The Zombie Task Force cares for nothing more than the satisfaction of our clients. Please enjoy the carrot cake in the break room on us (Thanks Jan!).

Thanks,

Heather Martin
