Note from writer:

Hello people, this is “Our Messed up Lives” that I have revamped and may be taking down the other one rather soon. The preface of the story is still the same. This is a story that talks about teenage issues that may have been faced in everyday life, but mainly about high school life and how it is hard to survive just for being different. I must warn you the story will evolve:

Slight Violence, Sexuality, Slight Drug Reference, Character Death and some bad language.

Chapter One:   The First Day Back

Summer days of long hours and restless nights, soon slipped away as the leaves began to fade to golden and fall to the hard rocky ground as autumn was approaching. Teenagers all around the world were upset as they would have to kiss the sweet summer days away and welcome the long hours of school that have been awaiting, from day one of summer. The first day back from school was always one of the most important days back for any teenagers; it was like waking up from a very long beautiful dream and waking up to face the normality of the real world. High school is almost like a second home for many, due to the many hours that were spent in the same four walls, with same old timetable for many weeks running.

The school remained the same, over the long six week period of summer (apart from the facts, no students were in it). It stood there, the same old building for the past 52 years. It was a simple building; very old too with red bricks that were starting to crack and vines began twisting around it. The gates of the school were black; they almost resembled a graveyard- this giving an impression that this place was some sort of hell.  Well that is what Jessica Murry thought.

In front of the gates stood a girl staring into the school, many people already had arrived early and they were chatting amongst friends about the wildness of their holidays. She frown at the thought of people already knowing each other. She frown looking up the dusty old sign and read it to herself once again.

WESTERN WOODS SECONDAY COMPHENIVE SCHOOL

It was a long name for school. Something that sounded as if, they weren’t creative enough with school names, like naming it after maybe a famous writer or a landmark of the town. But it was just long and meaningless. Jessica pulled on her uniform. It was itchy and....girly. She didn’t so girly. It was a simple white shirt with a blue stripped tie and a skirt. The dress code for the school was that every girl would have to wear a skirt.

“What day and age is this school living in?” Jessica question to herself.

“Jessica,” a stern voice called while placing a hand on her shoulder.

She jumped a little, not really quite use to the fact of someone touching her.  She turned slowly to see two pale blue eyes look down on her worryingly.

“Yes...” she managed to reply, getting her composer together.

The man’s voice sounded light and soft, “You don’t have to do this.”
