Chapter 1- I Got 99 Problems But You Won't Be One

"Head in the clouds, got no weight on my should-". Drowsily, I turned off my alarm. I slow picked my body off of my bed. I reached my hands up above my head and began walking into my bathroom. I showered my body, making sure I had cleaned every part.

Turning off the shower, I had got out and wrapped a towel around my body. I walked into my closet ready to pick out my outfit. I chose a simple grey crop top with the word GEEK in white lettering with a yellow skater skirt with overalls. For my shoes, I chose my white Doc Martins. I quickly got dresses then ran down the stairs to the kitchen.

On the fridge was a note from my mom

Honey, I already went to work so you have to cook breakfast yourself. Also I have to work over time. That means I won't be home until late

Slightly shaking my head, I reach in the fridge and grabbed me a banana. I then snatched my ar keys and walked out the front door. After making sure I locked the door, I strutted down to my car which was an 2013 Chevy Equinox Lt and got in.

Finally pulling up to my school, I got out my car and walked with my head down to my locker. Standing against it was my best friend, Lynne Rose. She's the one who helps me come out of my shell. If I'm around someone that I don't know, I'm quite shy. But with her, I'm this loud and brave girl.

"Hey Rosie!" I exclaimed while opening my locker and grabbing my things for first period.

" Hii Ria!" She choruses back. After I shut my locker, we started walking to the classroom. As soon as I sat down she began to give me all the gossip. She's the one invited to all the parties especially with her jet black chest-length hair, and sea blue eyes.

"So I heard that Brett has a new girlfriend." Rosie qossips, like I'm even paying attention. I kinda ignore her the whole period but she knows I don't care about rumors.

The whole day was like first period. Rosie chatting about rumors and me ignoring her. It was during last period that I was called into the principal's office. When I arrived, Principal Brown

had shut and locked the door behind me. I gulped loudly because I have never been in trouble before. I'm something like a good girl.

"Hello Ms. Davis" Principal Brown greeted me. In response, I waved just a little bit.

"Well, I'm brought you here to ask for a favor. As you know you are one of the best students in the whole school. I need you to tutor Brett Johnson." He told me.

By the time he finished, my eyes were wide and my jaw was agape.

"I know it's not the ideal thing to do but all your teachers have agreed to give you extra credit for help tutoring Brent

" Principal Brown said.

After a few moments mulling over the pros and cons, I agreed to help tutor Brett.

"Great. Just be in the library after school and he'll meet you there." I nodded then left his office room.

Here I was, waiting for the mysterious bad boy. I had my textbooks in side my book bag which was sitting next to me on a chair. While I was waiting, I started to do some Pre-calc homework. Finally, 15 minutes later, I heard the chair in front of me screech.

There before my eyes, was Brent Johnson. I have to admit, he was pretty handsome but he gives off an bad aura. I think I was staring for too long because he cleared his throat.

"Are you done?" He taunted with a smirk on his sexy face. I blushed and tried to hid my face with my hair.

"So, shall we begin?" I shyly asked. I started to grab my book bag, when he threw a thick folder my way. Confused, I glanced up and looked at his face.

"This is what I need help with. I don't need an extra difficulty. I got 99 problems but you won't be one. Understand?" Brett demands. I sheepishly nod my head while he gets up and exits the library.

All that is running through my head is why did I agree to this?
