it's almost been a year since my grandma passed away, so we visited the place where we put her ashes. i have a cousin who has three kids, so she brought one of them (let's say his name is charlie) since the other two had classes.

so idk about other countries, but where i live it's tradition to leave food out when you go and visit a relative who has passed away, so my dad's brother brought some food and we laid it out and paid our respects.

then charlie asked "why isn't [great-grandma] eating the food?"

i honestly didn't know whether to laugh or cry after he said this.
