Previously on dangerous secrets:

"Oh, um ya. I'm totally fine. You don't have to worry about me." I say. But I know what's coming next. Sure enough he said what I had suspected him to say. "Bella, I'm always going to worry about you, I'm your boyfriend. I need to make sure that you are okay. Okay?" "Okay." I reply.

Luke's P.O.V

I can't believe she thinks that I am not going to worry about her! she is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I really hope that she knows that. I don't really buy her "okay" so I ask her again.

"Are you sure you understand Bella?"

"Yes"

"It's clear that I need to worry about you and how it's my job?" I ask her.

"Crystal" she replies.

"Good" I say. Nobody speaks next. we are both quiet. it's not an uncomfortable silence, we just have nothing new to say.

Bella must have thought of something since she starts a new conversation, "I saw Calum today."

"Oh, cool." I say. I actually have mixed feelings about this. I mean, I know Bella and Calum broke up and that Calum has a new girlfriend and everything, but I am still a little worried. Damn it, I'm not worried, I'm jealous. what kind of boyfriend am I if I can't even trust my own girlfriend!

Bella's P.O.V

"I saw Calum today." I tell him. Yes! that's an awesome excuse, and it isn't a complete lie! I knew I would be able to think of a good one. I'm actually really proud of myself right now. Now I won't feel completely guilty about lying to him since it isn't a complete lie.

"Oh, cool." he replies. oh no, maybe it wasn't a perfect excuse. I forgot about how easily Luke gets jealous. Damn, how could I miss it! well I'll try to cover it up later tonight.

"Anyway," I try to change the subject. "how was your day?" wow Bella, way to go, I mentally scold myself, that is the oldest sentence in the books. To prove my point Luke laughs, but then his face gets serious. I'm guessing he is about to tell me about his day.

"Well, I didn't really do anything." He says, "except for looking and worrying about you the whole day!" his voice raised with every word. dang! I tried to steer this conversation away from what went on earlier today. oh well, I guess we can't really get around it. well, I'm going to make sure to make up for it later, or right now. Ya, right now actually makes a lot of sense since I want to make sure that we don't talk about this. "bel-" he begins, but before he can get a word out I crash my lips against his and silence him.

"Okay. well, that was fun" he says. "What was that for?"

"You know, you're so cute when you're confused." I say, trying to distract him.

"Aww, thanks babe." he gushes. Wow, he really is cute. I'm so lucky to have him, sometimes I feel like I'm not enough for him. I'm not the hottest person alive and not exactly "Albert Einstein" smart. I really am grateful that I have him.
