Chapter 2: This Will Be The Death of Me

I look behind Jacob, and see a smirking Xavier, James, and Tyler. I look around for the fourth member, and Caden was trying to get at some girl in our class. Of course. I thought he wanted me in his team, but that should be a good thing. I don't want the creator of this idiotic game to even be in this group.

"Yeah. The more we have, the faster we'll get gone." Jacob said.

I mentally groaned in my head, if Jacob only knew. They all sat around my table, but I scooched more next to Jacob. I do not want them to breath my oxygen. Hell, I don't even want to breath the same oxygen as them.

"So...partners. We will totally ace this project, since we have little miss smarty pants here." Tyler winked to me.

I rolled my eyes at him, so let me introduce you to The 4 Takers.

Tyler Carter, he's a sweet kid. He's intelligent and you could tell that he cares for his best friends and for those he loves. Even though he seems like a bad boy, he's actually a nerd deep inside.

Xavier Shah, he's like the bad boy next door. Apparently he's the type of guy that makes you weak in the knees.

James King, the captain of the football team and also the star quarterback. Even though he's a jock, he doesn't hang around with the other idiot jocks. He stayed true with his four childhood best friends.

Caden Ryder, the leader of this group and the creator of the game. He is a cocky and sarcastic son of a bitch. Every girl who had been in his team has always gave up on him, so practically every girl is swooned by him.

To sum them up, they're all four bad boys trying to get remembered in high school.

I felt a hand on my thigh and it kept on getting closer to my area. That hand belong to James. I fell back on my chair, and a whole bunch of my papers went flying. I groaned from irritation, Jacob was actually nice enough to help me up and help me pick up the stuff that went flying.

I sat back down, and made sure to cross my legs. "Caden is trying to put it on you, you know." Xavier smirked.

Okay, let me tell you a little story. I knew these boys since elementary, I technically grew up with them and my girls. I wasn't close to them that much, but I knew them very well. In middle school, I had developed a huge "crush" on Caden. The Queen B, Jamie Upton, somehow found out and not only told the whole school, but told Caden as well. We were young, and he felt grossed out. That's what everyone told me, I got picked on a lot because of my crush for him. He even picked on me as well, so I grew out of the crush and just lived on. Till this day, no one has ever catched my eyes yet.

"I'm gonna go get the paperwork, I'll be right back." Jacob said. I bet Jacob is one lost kid and he has no clue on what they are talking about.

No. No. No. Don't leave me with these idiots, I mentally cried out loud

I stared at Xavier blankly, "I'm not gonna be in your stupid little game."

"Oh, yes you are sweetheart." James chuckled.

"There's other girls that you can choose, why me?" I retorted. I was honestly getting annoyed with them, if they push me to my limit; I will indeed slap the shit out of them.

"You can say that you're special," Xavier grinned.

"Special?" I chuckled, "Nothing is special about me. You guys have a ton of girls throwing themselves at you guys. Pay attention to them, not me."

"You are special." Tyler spoke up, "You just don't know it."

"Seriously, my annoyance with you guys is off the roof and I swear," Before I could finish my sentence, Jacob came. I inhaled and exhaled to calm myself.
