A Story By Fate

I was at work , when an email came to me saying that, the editor of Rupa publications liked my work and would love to print my novel and wanted to meet me for some paperwork. I was so shocked because I never showed anyone my novel "The Failed Date" except Anushka and Arnav.

Suddenly my phone rang it was Anushka calling me , I picked up the phone and she said , " So Mr. Writer how did you like my surprise , consider this as your birthday gift just a bit delayed and before you say anything , I'm with a patient right now so beer call and we will talk there" and she hung up the phone. I didn't know what to do and how to react.

When I reached there Anushka was waiting for me with Akriti , they both looked at me smiled and said ," How are you Mr. Writer?" . " How did you guys do that , it's unbelievable." I said . "Well thanks to my sweetheart, I showed her your novel few months back and told he did wanted to surprise you by getting it printed because I know how much you love it." ,Anushka said. "But how" I was still confused.
" My pateint is the editor of Rupa publications , so I just recommended her your book", Akriti said and from that moment I stopped hating her. I hugged them both and that night we organised a big party at our place. Everything felt different that day.
The next day Anushka told me that Akriti will be moving in with us within a week. I was happy about it because Akriti had some something really special for me.

Although my novel didn't perform well in the market but still I was happy that my dream had become a reality , I was now officially a writer.
But I had a big problem now , since Akriti had moved in I was kind of left alone it was always Anushka and Akriti hanging out alone and enjoying , I only saw Anushka at dinner.

One day I was lucky , Akriti had to go out of town for a week so this meant it was bro time again. We went to the bar lounge, I ordered wisky on rocks and we start down. "Bro I need to talk to you about something", I said, "Tell me I'm listening" , she said. "I can't take it anymore , being single and then seeing you too beautiful and hot ladies everyday it makes being single even more difficult plus I miss my Anushka, my bro , we hardly hangout anymore I don't even see you now a days" I said. "So sorry Gautam , I didn't know that being in live in will push you aside , I just thought I could be the two people I love in the world at the same time. I promise I will give you more time , here let me make it up to you , why don't we find a good girl for you in this bar" she said, " that's sounds like a good thing", I said with a new energy.
" So what kind of girl are you looking", she asked . " Well those two at the bar counter , those 3 clicking selfie and 5 at that corner booth"I told her.
" Hmmm, impresive. But seriously even when this hot girl is sitting in front of you , you are looking at others in the bar. Give down respect" she said.
" Wait , you are not a girl , you are my bro so just stop complaining and help me to get there phone numbers" I told her and we went off to work.
So around one hour later I and 5 phone numbers and we decided which one should I call. So Anushka picked up Ananaya and it was decided, so I took out my phone and soaked her number, the moment when I was about call her Anushka said don't be a looser follow the two day rule call her after two days. I didn't listen to her , went to the bathroom and called her ,but she didn't pick up the phone which bummed me out but it was ok. I followed the two day rule and called her on the third day after dinner.
When she picked the phone I said," Hi , is this Ananaya?" , " Yes and if I'm not wrong you are Gautam from the bar right." she said.

" Yup , that's me. Before I say anything extremely stupid would you like to have dinner this Friday" I asked. " Well Friday not possible in going out with my friends"she said.
" Saturday , 9pm, I'll pick you up and we can go to the Rock cafe it's a great place . And here is the stupid thing." I said . " Well I like the stupid, so see on Saturday." She said. "Thanks bie"I said and cut the call.

I looked at Anushka , but she gave me "The Look", which meant j have done something really stupid, but since I couldn't think of anything I asked, "What?" She said," You idiot how are you supposed to pick her up if you don't even know her address and who does that desperate all planned up stuff" "Sorry sorry , I forgot I'll just call her and ask her the address." I said and called Ananaya and told her about the whole I forgot to ask for your address , she laughed and before ewe knew it we were talking for hours continuously.
