Those three words, have no meaning, at least not to me, they are just words spoken by a women, like me, out of desperation when they try to make a sad relationship stay. For men, those three words are used to make a weak women stay, like me, so they have someone to make themselves great around others, even when he couldn't give a shit about you. For Ivy those three words where used often when it came to her and Matthew.

"Matthew! s...stop please." Ivy yells ,barely above a whisper, with tears streaming down her face. Her black, silky, hair wet and tangled on her face.

"Stop WHAT you little ungrateful bitch. You're the who tried to LEAVE me, behind my BACK!", "I go out and have a little fun, with a FEW girls, ONCE and you try to  ME, OH HELL NO, you don't leave until im through with you!"

After being slapped, thrown around, and nearly drowning, in the bathroom, by Matthew there is only a broken women left cowering and shaking in the bathtub with bruises to cover up more bruises.

After crying my eyes out, I turn the shower on and take off my soaked clothes. I stand in the shower letting the boiling water sting my skin. Thinking. About how tired I am of dealing with this shit and living in this hell.

After coming back to the real world, I decided to get out of this hell hole and go for coffee. I leave my hair as is to cover the bruises on my neck and grab a long sleeve turtleneck to cover the ones on my arms.

I walk down the street, head down always, to the near by cafe, Bayer's, to get some coffee, black, because I like it plain and bitter, to help me cope with this depressing pain.

On my way there I start to feel bitter and sorrow at the happy looking couples walking around with no care in the world. So much that I start to silently cry, and no one notices a damn thing which makes me cry more and more, until I reach the cafe.

I enter the cafe, give my order and sit at the table in the back. As I wait for my order to arrive I stare out the window and slowly I start to lose consciousness.

An hour goes by, then two before Joshua decides to walk up to the mystery woman that entered the cafe not too long ago. The first thing he noticed about her when she came to order was, that she had been crying. The next thing was that she was hiding bruises, but wasn't doing a good job at it.

Joshua takes the scarf wrapped around her neck off and just stares. That's when she wakes up to see him and her scarf in his hands. Tears start up and spill out like never before.

The cafe closed about an hour ago and yet Ivy is still there, waiting for the stranger Joshua to take her home after volunteering to. Not one word is said between the two, just silence.

When Ivy stopped crying she looked up to see coffee boy still there.

"You're just gonna sit there. You're not gonna ask about the bruises" Ivy says in a hoarse and quiet voice.

Joshua tilts his head to the side and answers in a odd way, "Is it my business? Do you even want to tell me? Does it even look like I care or want to help you?"
