Granny's Diner was bustling with people. A lot of the new faces from the Land of Untold Stories were walking in and out, trying to find food and shelter, and anything else they needed. Granny, Archie, and Dr. Jekyll were all helping as many people as they could, giving them food, places they could go for shelter, clothes if they needed, and more. It was a good process. Granny was giving people food at the counter, Archie was at one of the main tables, showing people places they could go to, and Jekyll was near the back, handing clothes to people who asked. Everything was going well.
Until she walked in the door.
When she walked in, the door slammed shut behind her, and everyone in the diner fell silent, and turned their attention towards her.
The woman whom had walked in to the diner had short, white hair that was brushed back, green eyes, and red lips. She was wearing a grey poet blouse that the sleeves had been torn off of, black leather pants, and black boots. In her right hand, she was holding what seemed like a hat by her side, and everyone was able to notice that a cutlass was hanging at her right side as well. The woman started looking around the diner, almost as if she was trying to find somebody.
Dr. Jekyll was the only one who recognized her.
"Welcome to Granny's Diner ma'am. Can we help you with anything?" Granny asked from behind the counter.
The woman turned to Granny. "Yes, actually." The woman said, walking towards the counter. "I'm looking for a doctor."
"The hospital is up that way, not here." Granny stated.
The woman smiled. She had a nice smile, and a sweet voice when she talked. "No, I'm looking for a different kind of doctor." She said, leaning against the counter near Granny. "You might know him, actually. He wears glasses, has short blonde hair, and he has a friend who does some evil things. Seen him around?" The woman asked Granny.
At hearing the woman give a description of himself, Jekyll quickly hid behind one of the tables so that the woman wouldn't be able to see him if she turned back around.
Granny noticed him do this, and turned her full attention back to the woman, who clearly hadn't noticed. "I believe you're searching in the wrong place. I've watched every person walk in and out of that door today, and none of them looked like the man you're talking about." She lied.
The woman's smile turned into a slight frown, and sighing, she stood back up from leaning on the counter.
"Shame." She said, turning back around to face the rest of the diner. "Well, has anybody here seen him?" She said, raising her voice so that everyone could hear her. "Has anyone seen the one and only Dr. Jekyll?" She asked again, this time looking at each person in the diner as she spoke each word.
The woman's eyes stopped at a man sitting by himself at a main table near the door, just twiddling his thumbs together. She walked over, and sat down across from him.
While the woman did this, Dr. Jekyll quickly and quietly crawled across the floor to the back room, out of everyone's sight.
The woman, still not noticing this, looked at the man across from her. The man was very obviously nervous, and seemed to be doing everything he could to keep from panicking.
The woman leaned back in her chair. "Do you know who I am?" She asked him.
The man shook his head.
"Do you think I'm dangerous?"
The man nodded.
The woman smiled. "Good." She leaned forward. "Now, I'll only ask you this once. Have you seen Dr. Jekyll?" She asked again.
The man shook his head.
The woman leaned back again. "Hmm." She stood back up, and started to walk towards the door to the diner, but stopped when she was standing next to the man. Before anyone could react, the woman pulled out her cutlass with her left hand, and slashed the man across his chest, and across his throat.
Some of the people in the diner screamed, or jumped back away from the woman. Granny reached down for her crossbow, and Archie tried to step towards the woman while her back was turned, but she quickly turned around and pointed her cutlass at Archie's throat, stopping him dead in his tracks.
Granny aimed her crossbow at the woman. "If you don't put that away, then you'll be looking for a doctor to take an arrow out of your chest."
The woman didn't take her eyes off of Archie, who was trying not to freak out about the cutlass at his throat. "Your friend here would be dead before that arrow missed my chest." She said to Granny. "And I think you would agree that you don't want to clean up a second body." The woman started to back towards the door, not lowering her cutlass.
"People of Storybrooke, what you have seen here today, is a lesson. The lesson being, lying has consequences. And when lying to me, those consequences are death." The woman stated. "Now, you all say that Dr. Jekyll isn't here. And I guess I'll believe it. But the moment any of you see him-" She had reached the door by this point, so she sheathed her cutlass. "Let me know. And you'll be rewarded greatly." The woman lifted her hand, and put on the hat that she had been holding. It was black, with a blue feather being the only bit of color sticking out of it.
The woman smiled again, but this time it looked more evil, rather than nice. "You all may know who I am. Some of you might not. But don't worry. You all will find out soon enough." She said.
At this, Granny fired the arrow at the woman. Before it reached her, black smoke surrounded the woman, and she disappeared from the diner. The arrow hit the wall where she had been.
As soon as the woman disappeared, Archie quickly walked over to the man who was now slumped over the table, Granny put her crossbow away, and Jekyll came out from hiding.
Archie put his hand on the man's neck, and tried to check his pulse. There was nothing.
Everyone else in the diner quickly started leaving the building in a rushed panic, and within a minute, Granny, Archie, and Jekyll were the only ones left, other than the dead body.
"I'm going to go call the others." Granny said, walking off to the kitchen.
"I'm going to go be sick." Archie said, rushing past Jekyll, and to the bathroom.
