When the world was asleep, India was awake. Witnessing and sensing the victory of India's first ever World Cup in 1983 against West Indies.. Indeed it was a proud moment for Indians. Thus began the glorious journey of Cricket. The victorious captain KAPIL DEV along with the teammates, defended 183 runs and eventually led to the rise of India in Cricket World. Cricket is not just a game, but is full of emotions, passion, dedication and respect to one's country. One saw India conquering the world. It was 25th June of 1983...So was the beginning..
When we sleep, we get up the next morning, after day comes night and the cycle repeats, in the same way HISTORY too repeats itself. The red-letter day in 1983 came once again in 2011. That time India played against West Indies which was the peak team of Cricket and this time it was Sri Lanka, One of the best teams of ODI Cricket. No team ever won a title hosting the tournament but India had a chance. The crowd expectant, they were in anticipation. As the moment came closer, the prayers began. Yes, that was the moment, When the scenic vision of signature finish by Dhoni brought tears of happiness on every Indian's face. The aura of the incident still lies as a crystal clear vision even today in front of my eyes. That day everybody celebrated the victory of India together neglecting each others caste, creed and religion removing all the petty barriers. That was the "beauty" of Cricket. The miraclous night of 2nd April not only fulfilled the dreams of billions of Indians but also of Master Blaster of Indian Cricket- Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar..the legend of all time.
