"Dude, Marco, the goal is to catch the ball!" Ezra cried out as I missed the ball for the third time in a row. I growled loudly in frustration. What was so hard about catching a ball? All you have to do is put out your arms and grab!

Another kid went up to kick, eyes determined. Our pitcher rolled the ball down the middle and the kicker wound up ready to make contact. The kicker took two long strides and made powerful contact with the rubber, blue ball. It was heading straight towards me. I was not going to drop it yet again. I held out my hands and waited for the impact. I moved under the ball and closed my eyes slightly. When I felt the ball hit my forearm, I pulled the ball close to my chest. I had it! I had caught the ball! I opened my eyes to see everyone cheering around me in the outfield. The kicker huffed in annoyance and kicked at the ground. A pile of dust flew up and stung eyes.

The game was over, not only had I made the last out, but my team won. Too bad it was only for P.E. though and all the famed glory would end over the weekend. I got a couple of high fives on the way back into school, but everyone scrammed when the person I got out walked up to me.

"Marc, thanks for getting your only brother out. I didn't think you had it in you." Leonardo, my twin brother joked.

"Leo, I just did what I had to."

"Speaking of brothers, is Rosie coming over today with Wyatt and Quinn?"

I groaned thinking of my dad's love affair children, "yeah, seems like it is."

"Oh, yeah! Serafina's coming over then. Rosie won't care." I could see his hormonal mind start clicking. He ran off to his friends right before we entered the school.

Being that P.E. was the last class of the day, I didn't even change back into the clothes I had worn to school that day. Instead, I just waited in the gym with Ezra and Audra, my ride home since my car was in the shop.

Audra had been my crush since about four years ago, when she moved here from Europe. Her naturally blond hair was too boring for her, so last year she had dyed it a fiery red color matching her witty personality quite well. She was like a present day hippie. She had long hair, wore loose fitting outfits, didn't eat meat, she was different. That's why I fell magically in love with her. She wasn't the usual girl that went out of her way to show off for a guy or bottled up her feelings because she didn't know if others would accept her. Her skin was already sun kissed even though we had just started having warmer weather.

"Dude, Marco, can you believe we only have a week left of school?" Ezra announced while checking all the girls out.

"Nah, it's strange really. Then only one more year." I happily sighed.

"Yuck," Audra announced suddenly, "your brother is a cold hearted pig." I turned to where she was staring. Leo was currently dating Serafina, the cheer captain. He was the quarterback, so in everyone's eyes it made sense for them to date. However, Leo was known as a player. Right now, Annemarie was sitting on his lap talking really, really close to his lips. If anyone saw it, they wouldn't dare tell Serafina who was extremely jealous. They had been going out a year, but they'd break up for a weekend and my brother would invite some other girl to our house. I don't blame him though, my father is worse.

The bell rang releasing us from this hell hole. I walked out with Ezra and Audra heading for Audra's blue, shitty car. She didn't believe in getting money from her parents, so she worked like crazy to get enough money for the car and gas money. I really respected her, even if I sweat like a pig when the A.C. refused to work. We talked about summer plans until we reached my gated neighborhood. I waved to the guard and he let us in without further questions. Audra drove until we came to the house with the red car was parked in front.
