I come to school every morning with the same uniform, same classes, and same people. Except one thing was missing, but I don't know what it is! I walk over to two of my friends and ask if anything was missing on my person. They said no and so I thought to myself maybe I forgot my math homework, but I looked and I had it in my math folder. I still felt like I was full of emptiness. I went to the first class of the day and before Mrs. Tanya called for attendance I got a call from the counselor's office.

"Aidan please go down to the counselor's office. It's urgent!" she says while looking like her dog just died.

I walk down to the counselor's office and wait for about 10 minutes until the secretary gets up from her desk and asks me to go to Mr. Yise.

It was about two minutes to half-past twelve when I noticed something. My counselor was wearing black and looked depressed. He explained to me how my brother had died. He told me that he drove to the bridge, got out of his car and jumped off. I was so shocked by what I was hearing that I blacked out. Mr. Yise told me that he was going to call my parents, but when he got to my ID card it had my brothers number on it.

" Aidan where are your parents?" he asked in the most polite way possible.

"Dead. All three of them are dead. First, it was my mom, then my dad and now my brother." I said as I was horrified of this news.

I had no one to take me home, so I just walked home and even worse it was raining cats and dogs. As soon as I got home I saw a letter and a box at the front door and I think to myself maybe its a message saying Daniel (my brother) was still alive, but I know he's not. I pick up the box, walk inside, take off my coat and open the box. There's a hundred grand in this box along with a letter that reads:

Dear Aidan,

My sweet sister when you read this I'll probably already be dead but I wanted you to have this. The rent has been paid for the rest of the time you're there, you even have enough money for you to last a month or two after that you might have to go to our neighbor's but any way please don't call any of the relatives I don't want them causing a ruckus for you. Any way on your 16th birthday expect something spectacular to happen. I love you Aiden you will always be my Jewel.

-Big Brother Daniel

I cried when I read this. After an hour I look in the fridge and see that dinner was already made and for some reason I made a plate for Daniel and yelled for him to come downstairs for dinner, but he doesn't come. I run and go to his bedroom and see that he's not there and remember that he is dead. So I go back into the kitchen sit down and stare at the wall and realize what is happening to me I think about all the good times when I had with my brother, I miss him more than ever. I finish eating and grab a hoodie out of the dryer , put it on (I'm pretty sure it was Daniel's hoodie) I went to my room and opened up my laptop and skyped my best friend since it wasn't that late

"Hey Adian, I heard about what happened are you ok?" she said concerned about me.

" Yeah I'm alright." I say while trying to ignore the fact that she looks like she's about to cry.

"Vicky are you ok you look as if you are about to cry?" I say worried about her.

" Yeah I'm just concerned for you since you have no family now!" she starts to cry heavily now.

" Oh, Vicky I'll be alright look he gave me almost 10 grand so I can get groceries and pay off my phone bill." at that same moment the doorbell rang I wondered who could that be on a stormy night like this?!

"Hey Vicky I'll call you back in a minute." I grab my bat and walk towards the door.

I look in the peephole I see it was a girl who look exactly like me. So I opened the door and as soon as I did she just smiled.
