Hi! I'm Autumn, how are you? I hope you are well. I wanted to write this little note to say a couple of things. First of all, a disclaimer/note of warning. This story is based very loosely off of the musical, "The Last Five Years", in that Asher and Blake tell their stories a little differently(the same way Cathy and Jamie do). Asher will tell their story from backwards to frontwards(future, working back toward the past). Alternatively, Blake will tell their story from frontwards to backwards(past, working forward toward the future). I know this can be a little confusing, but I love the element of suspense it leaves within the story. So, yes, the idea of them telling their story in different ways was inspired by "The Last Five Years", but I hope that you will look past that and see the unique and beautiful differences between the stories, and appreciate this one for the beauty that it is. I love you all so very much, and I hope that you enjoy the story that changed me.
