My eyes trailed to a figure behind them. "Oh my! Are you two lost?

(Y/N)Flowey's eyes widened as he disappeared into the ground. Frisk whirled around to see the... Motherly goat. They were wearing a purple robe with a symbol similar to the one on the arch. "My children, I am Toriel, Caretaker of the Ruins. Please, come with me. I will guide you through." Toriel said, holding her hands out for us to grab.
Frisk grabbed Toriel's hand without hesitation. Both turned to me, waiting for me to grab Toriel's other hand. "Uh, can I just follow behind you guys?" "Of course my child," complied Toriel as they started walking, me trailing behind them. This will be interesting.
We shortly arrived at a room with several buttons on the floor, and a door. Toriel walked over and triggered some of them, opening the door. Beyond the door was, surprise, surprise, another room. This one had spikes on one end, and several switches, some with yellow text next to them. "This is the first puzzle I would like you to solve. You just need to pull the right switches. Do not worry, as I have labeled the correct switches to pull." So much for solving it. She legit just told us how to do it. Eh, I can live with that.
Frisk walked over and pulled the first switch. I pulled the second switch down. Frisk and I pulled the last switch down together. The spikes then receded. Toriel softly clapped. "Good job my children!" You know, I'm surprised that she hasn't realized that I'm a marionette.

We made it to a long room with a single pillar at the end. Toriel then let go of Frisk's hand. "Please forgive me for this my children," said Toriel, who then proceeded to run, quite quickly I must say, to the other end of the room and hide behind the pillar. I looked at Frisk in confusion, who just shrugged.
We started walking. "So, what kind of monster are you? Are you a ghost possessing a marionette or something?" asked Frisk. I closed my eyes and replied, "I'm not actually a monster. I'm just an experiment that involved a human soul and a marionette." Frisk looked shocked.
"Really? But how?" "Even I don't know. All I know is that I died and some scientists decided to fuse my soul with a marionette, to see if it would come to life." Frisk looked to me. They opened their mouth to talk, but Toriel came out from behind the pillar first.
"Do not worry my children, for I was merely behind this pillar the entire time. I just had to test your independence, as I have a few errands to run." She lead us to another room. "Please stay here while I run some errands." She walked off. "There is literally nothing to do here," I stated, looking around. "Um, you could tell me more of your backstory, um, if you want to that is..." Frisk said. I looked to them, "No, it's ok." We sat down criss cross as I began my story.
"So I was originally a human. However, I died, but my soul did not shatter. It was given to scientists so they could use it if needed. It was put into a tube. It just sat in a lab for the longest time. But, that day came, where they decided to see if they fused it with a nonliving object, would it come to life. As you can see, it worked."
Before I could continue my story, Frisk interrupts, asking, "So do you have a human soul? Or did it turn into a monster soul?" "Well, sort of." I pulled out my soul. An upside down heart, like a monster soul, but colored, like a human soul. It was a soul of (S/T). There were a couple small cracks running along its surface. Frisk looked at in in awe.
"That's so cool!" I chuckled. "Thanks," I responded, pulling my soul back into me. I continued my story, "So,the scientists, seeing as they succeeded in bringing me to life, performed many tests and the occasional experiment." Frisk listened intently. Then one day, someone forgot to lock my door. Seeing this as an opportunity to escape, I ran away. I then fell in a hole, and here I am now." Frisk looked deep in thought.
Toriel walked in, and seeing as we were still here, looked happy. "I am back my children, I am sorry I couldn't make it sooner. The errands took longer that expected." "It's fine Goat Mom." Toriel looked shocked. Shoot, did I say that out loud? "M-mom? Well, if you wish to call me that, I will happily accept!" Goat mom said, clasping her hands together.
Now, follow me, I shall lead you home. She took Frisk's hand once more, and led us to a cozy looking home. It has purple bricks, and two staircases leading to it. Between the stairs is a small patch of leaves, with a yellow star hovering above them. Frisk went to it and SAVED. How do I know about said SAVING and LOADING? That's one of the perks of living with scientists, there are many interesting conversations to listen in on. Frisk and I climbed up the stairs and stepped into the house.
"Welcome to your new home."
